I quickly pulled my wrist out of Tucker's grip and backed away from him knowing that I fucked up everything, going back to when I began to develop feelings for Tucker. Everything was wrong.

I couldn't help but to look up at the hurt eyes of Diana's who's were bouncing between Tucker and I frantically.

"Diana, let me explain." Tucker says.

"Explain what?! How you were probably hooking up with slut the whole time you were with me?!" She crosses her arms, anger in her eyes.

Ouch.

It was obvious that something was happening between us, there was nothing to explain except the truth.

Her eyes finally landed on me, her skin boiled with anger. I swear you could almost see steam coming out of her nostrils.

"You." She pointed towards me. "I knew I shouldn't have trusted you the first time I laid my eyes on you!"

I couldn't think about how she felt right now. "I'm sorry." Were the only things that could escape my mouth.

"Oh please, don't be. Tucker will be running back to me the moment he's done with you. That's how it works, doesn't it Tucker? Or should we bring back up the list of girls you fucked over?!" She says angrily.

There was obviously something I was missing here.

"Leave it, Diana. That's who I was. I'm different now--"

"Why are you defending her!?" She flares her arms dramatically. "I mean look at her. There's obviously nothing in her you'd go for that I don't have better!"

I look down at my feet not daring to look up. I couldn't help but to feel as if she was right in a way. I mean, what does Tucker see in me that he can't get for better from a cheap stripper or something?

"I said, leave it." He remarks sternly.

I lifted my head up just in time to meet her eyes that came raging towards me angrily, but luckily Tucker's arms shot out in front of me protectively.

"Oh don't worry, I wont touch your pathetic doll." She turns her head to face Tucker's until turning back to face me. She eyes me up and down. "Enjoy my sloppy seconds. It wont last long--"

"Come on, let's go Elise." He says grabbing me wrist without question before dragging me out of the elevator.

"It's only a matter of time before she finds out anyways." Diana calls back.

As soon as we were out the two doors, I take my wrist out of his grip. He stops and turns to me confused.

"You're not upset because of what she said, are you?" He asks.

"I'm upset about what you said, Tucker." I said honestly. "You acted like she was nothing. There was no apologetic tone whatsoever in your voice."

"Because she was nothing, to me at least. She was only a fuck-friend." He replies.

"Then what am I to you?" I questioned, not wanting to hear the answer.

He stops for a moment before sighing. "Elise, you're different--"

"She was right, why are you going after me when you can find much better in someone else; someone like her?" I say.

"Can you please just come home with me? You're upset right now, I understand but--"

"But nothing, Tucker. There's obviously things I don't know about you. I'm not going with you to your house. It's not mine." I say, turning around and walking the opposite way from him.

It didn't even take two seconds before I heard his footsteps follow me. "Where do you think you're going?"

I honestly didn't know myself. I just needed some time to myself somewhere.

"Away from you."

He grabbed my wrist turning me around. "Don't."

"Stop touching me." I said, trying to pull out of his grip, but failed to, so I tried pushing him off of me with my knee and my other arm, but he didn't even budge.

"Done yet?" He questions.

He let go of me, seeing the annoyance in my face, raising his hands in surrender and backing up a couple feet before dropping his hands back down to his side.

"You know, I find your tantrums quite amusing." He smirks.

"You're such an ass." I spat.

He shrugs before folding his arms over his chest. "Never said I wasn't. Now, get in the damn car before I pick you up and put you in it myself."

As soon as we got in the house, I was greeted with the sweet smell of Pasta. Susan was cooking again.

"How was school?" She questioned the both of us. Tucker and I glanced at each other.

"Great." We both said in unison.

She furrows her eyebrows before laughing. "Oh really?"

Yeah, that totally wasn't believable.

"Oh my!" Susan said in shock, rushing to tucker. "What happened to your arm?" She said, referring to the bandages wrapped around his arm.

"I hurt it...playing football." He lied.

She raised an eyebrows. "I didn't know you played football."

"Neither did I." Tucker chuckled, realizing what he just said and began to make up some more words. "...Until I tried out today. I didn't make the team."

She laughed before returning to her cooking. "Well, sit down you two. Dinner's ready."

I sat down at the table first, surprised to find Tucker sat right beside me and the seat his mother sits on. He usually sits across from her.

A bowl of pasta was set in the center of the table. Tucker was quick to grab the big spoon in it and scoop some pasta onto my plate.

"I've got it." I said, trying to take the spoon from his hands, but he pulls it away from me.

"Let me."

So was this it? Tucker and I...we're not a thing. No way are we a thing.

But we both have feelings for each other...

I just don't want to be in replace of Diana, no matter how much she didn't matter to him. I don't want to be a rebound, and no way in hell would I want to upset Diana.

No matter how much Diana and I dislike each other, I'm just not that type of person.

I felt odd having someone care for me...in some way.

My mother cares about me, a lot. But for the past couple of weeks I can't help but to have felt empty in the department.

I smiled once he put the final scoop of pasta on my plate before doing the same to his.
