« SURPRISE VISIT »
Fred pulled the car to a stop in front of the Burrow, quickly getting out for the teenagers to stop complaining about being squeezed in the back.
No matter how many times Lillian would come to the Burrow, which, to be completely honest, was all the time she wasn't at Hogwarts, she was still amazed by the warmth and atmosphere it would provide just by looking at it. She felt at home even though it really wasn't.
Ron probably sensed Lillian relax and snuck an arm around her waist. "Welcome home, Lilli."
She smiled and scouted even closer from her best friend, putting her head on his shoulder as they followed Fred and George inside the house where all the adults waited with big smiles on their faces.
Lillian gave a big embrace to both of her parents before hugging Ron's parents, Remus and Tonks.
The first day of vacation was spent talking about what was going on at Hogwarts even though all of them wished they could actually stop thinking about school which lead Lillian to join Fred and George upstairs to talk about their new inventions and help them perfect all the mixtures and potions.
On the second day though, Lillian's parents called for her to join them in a small room just next to the living room where Harry and Ron were talking with Remus and Molly.
"Hey there, sweetie, please take a seat." Henry said.
Lillian sat down slowly, wondering what was going on. "Is there a problem?"
"No, no. Absolutely not. Your mum and I just want to spend some time with you."
"Okay."
Ellen kneeled in front of her daughter and pulled a small box made of green velvet out of her pocket and handed it to Lillian.
"What, but, mom! Christmas isn't today."
"I know, but I couldn't wait for you to have it." Ellen answered with a big smile. "I got it from my own mother who got it from her mum."
Lillian gently opened the box to discover a small brooch made of gold with a few sapphires in the middle forming a nice abstract shape. The teenager grabbed it in awe, letting her mother place it on her blouse, a sweet red halo emanating from it.
"Is this.. magic?" Lillian asked, suddenly feeling a magic aura all around her.
"You found out quickly." Ellen answered, sharing a look with her husband.
"If you ever have a problem, put your finger on the sapphire placed on the middle and we'll be here in a second."
"Thank you." Lillian said as she hugged them both at the same time. "I love you."
"We love you too."

The Christmas meal had been so hearty that Lillian ended up laying on one of the sofas, grunting and rubbing her stomach under the twins' amused looks meanwhile Ron had just disrupted Harry and Ginny's rather awkward exchange.
She ended up falling asleep for about an hour, finally getting some rest as her brain didn't get enough time to start creating nightmares.
She woke up just when Remus and Tonks were getting ready to leave the Burrow. She was suddenly startled by a loud noise coming from the outside. Following her instinct, she rose on her feet and ran to the front door, pushing past Remus who automatically grabbed her arm to keep her besides him.
Soon, strong flames were circling the house, trapping them in when Bellatrix Lestrange appeared with this deadly glare and smirk she was known for. As she escaped by the only opened space available, Harry ran past all of them, wand in his hand and Lillian didn't think twice as she followed him in his chase.
