« THE ORB »

Lillian had been brought upstairs and was now sleeping in Ron's bed. Remus had spent over an hour using different spells to annihilate the curse she had received from a Death Eater.

"What was it?" Harry asked as he stood right outside the room with Remus and Henry.

"I don't really know," Remus started. "It looked like an amplified version of the cruciatus curse."

"But.. she was bleeding."

"Yes, that's why I can't be positive this was it."

"Have you never seen this before?" Harry blurted, keeping an eye on the girl.

Henry sighed, sitting against the wall facing the door, "It was probably a curse they created. And that wasn't declared to the Ministry."

Harry nodded and walked inside, sitting on a chair next to Ron and Hermione who were already by Lillian's side.

In the middle of the night, the girl slowly started to wake up, feeling completely numb. It took her some time to adjust and to understand that she had actually made it to Burrow in one piece. She didn't remember how but the blood on her shirt was enough for her to believe she had been extremely lucky.

She tiptoed downstairs and poured herself a glass of water as she noticed Ron and Harry outside, apparently bickering.

She was about to open the front door to see what all of this was about but the two teenage boys beat her to it as they froze at the sight of their best friend wide awake and on her feet.

"Lilli, what.. you—you should be in bed !"

"But I was thirsty."

Ron chuckled and engulfed her in a tight hug to which she responded immediately. Seeing as Harry stood in the back awkwardly, she grabbed him by the wrist and the three friends hugged for a long time, comfortably.

. . .

Lillian was still resting in the living room as everyone helped setting everything for the wedding when Harry, Ron and Hermione walked inside.

"To what do we owe the pleasure, Minister?"

"I think we both know the answer to that question, Mr. Potter."

Lillian suddenly tensed and sat up as she gave a worried look to her friends who joined her on the couch.

Rufus Scrimgeour sat in front of them a placed a velvet cloth on the table, pulling a letter from his robes.

"And this is..?"

Scrimgeour let the paper slip out of his grasp and magically open.

"Herein is set forth the last will and testament of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore." Scrimgeour read out loud, not once looking at the four teenagers.
