THIS IS AN OLD CHAPTER

"What did you do to your arm?" I wince as Miles and Xander walk through the door from the garden.

I wasn't even going to question how the hell they got out there, I didn't doubt they jumped plus Xander did look a little traumatised.

"Oh fuck, I liked this top" Miles groans after looking at the damage.

"You didn't like your arm as well?" I shake my head at him.

"Meh" he shrugs jokingly "I suppose it's pretty useful".

"Dickhead" Xander mumbles, sliding onto the chair opposite me.

After shooting him a curious look Miles tells me, "He's just pissed because I proved him wrong".

"I never said you couldn't do it" Xander assures him quickly "I said it was idiotic".

"Yeah well whatever" he rolls his eyes, walking over to the counters.

He takes off the first aid box from up top and pulls out some cleaning wipes and a small bandages.

I turn to Xander as he gets to work on his apparently idioticly self inflicted injury.

"So, is he okay?" I whisper quietly, practically.

"I have perfect hearing I will have you know but I appreciate your concern" Miles mentions, his back still to us.

"Well uh- w- okay" I shut myself up, turning to Xander who nods at me.

I would normally of uttered any words that came to mind but at this point I knew I should be quiet for a little while.

It just seemed like ever since coming here I've learnt to shut myself up sometimes, to cut out the questions and break out the part of me I hadn't used in a long time.

The part where I cared about things, the part where I actually gave a shit about other people's feeling.

These people weren't like they seemed, even being here for a while hadn't given me enough opportunity to get to know them because there was so much to know.

Kane could draw amazingly, Rowan had a story behind each tattoo, Cal was much smarter than he looked, Jase cared about every single person here and they were only the things I knew... I wanted to know more.

"Thinking about something?" Xander questions me, leaning on the side tiredly.

"Do you have a talent?" I ask him quickly, my thoughts had spilled out.

"A what?" He questions.

"A talent, it's a thing whe-" Miles jokes as he sits down.

"I know what a talent is" he pushes Miles straight off the chair he had sat on, onto the ground with a yelp.

I don't bother looking down to him, he was probably just sulking now.

"Does putting up with this idiot count as a talent?" He laughs, pointing to Miles below him.

"Unfortunately not" I shake my head with a small smile.

"Well no then, I don't think so" he shrugs.

"Don't lie" Miles kicks his chair from where he sat, almost knocking Xander off as well.

"What are you lying about?" I laugh.

"I'm not lying about anything" he assures me.

"Liar" Miles kicks the chair again, a little harder this time; I think he was trying to see how hard he had to do it until Xander did actually fall.
