Callie's pov
A week later
This morning when I woke up I wasn't feeling great but i just gonna figure that it's my period coming mainly because I have cramps and my body aches but I also have a bad headache and a sore throat. When I got to first period I sat next to Michael. "Hey" I said starting to cough "hey are you okay?" "Yeah I think I just have a cold" "oh so that should last only for a few days" "yeah I guess, so any progress?" "Callie I told you I'm not in a rush to be in a relationship" "so your waiting to ask her out?" "I never said that" "but you did" "no I was just explaining what I said" "okay whatever you say, but I think you should suck it up and ask her out" "no" "ugh I tried" "and again you failed" "whatever I'm gonna be convincing you sooner or later" "yeah okay" "but lol why didn't you assume that was the progress that I was talking about" "because that's what you always ask about" "well that wasn't what I meant" I said lying "then what did you mean?" "I meant how is your progress at the gym?" "Um good I guess but why do you care" "I don't" "then why are you on my dick about it then" "just wanted to know and lol your rude" I said and he just stuck his tongue out at me. "Tongues are supposed to stay in your your mouth not out" "that's what she said" he said and I stuck up my middle finger at him right as class was about to start. When school ended I really started to feel light headed so I obviously knew something wasn't right but luckily Mason brought me home since we had to work on a chemistry project together. I just figured I was hungry so Mason just went through the chick-fil-a drive thru to get food. After we just went to my house and we worked the project. "So the atomic number of neon is 10 right?" "Yeah" I said writing it down on our poster paper. "So homecoming is this weekend, you excited?" "yeah I guess I just feel bad because you've never gone with anyone and this is my second year going with someone" "well that's because you've been in a relationship these last two years but I'll probably ask someone next year, I'm actually focused on the game this year" "speaking of the game are you ready for tomorrow night?" "Hell yeah, Surprise isn't gonna know what hit them when we beat the shit out of them" "hopefully you do because your last two games weren't so great" "well because Hunter has been screwing everything up but I don't think our coach is putting him in the game" "really?" "Yeah he's dragging our team down" "well that sucks" "yeah but once he gets over you everything will be fine" "yeah I guess" "unless he never gets over you" "shut up" "well you never know" "can we just get back to this stupid project" "whatever" he said stuffing a fry into his mouth.
After we finished working I went home and I got really excited because my homecoming dress had gotten delivered to my house. I just bought one online this year because the past two years I've procrastinated and I've had to find a dress the day before. When I took it out I immediately hung it up so that it didn't get wrinkled. I was super happy this week considering that my volleyball coach was sick so we couldn't have practice. After dinner I made the brownies for the boys and then went right to bed because I was still feeling really sick.
Friday
Today was the game and my body was really numb but in order to go to the dance I had to go to school today. Since it was the end of spirit week I decided to actually dress up for school spirit. I had Blake's away jersey on with, red softball socks and a bandana. When I got to school there was a sea of red in the hallway. A lot of people were surrounding Wes. I got partnered up with him for student spirit so I had to do special things for him and he had to do special things for me the whole year. I decided to go the easy way and make him cookies. Eventually I was able to get to him. When I gave him the cookies he grabbed my hand and he starred talking to me to avoid the crowd. "Thanks" "your welcome" "can we talk after school?" "Um I don't know I have practice" skip it" "Wes I don't kn-" "just know it's important,we can just go to my house real quick and if you choose to come back, I'll gladly bring you back" "fine" I said as the bell rang and it got to class
