I kept staring at my phone for about 5 minutes waiting from an immediate reply from her. Kanii has been gone a week for some big meeting to Italy. I didn't want her to go, I wanted to spend these days with her since next week I am also going to England for a month for the series but I knew how important this meeting is for her. She needs new projects for her company since she cut Nikhil out of her company and he took some of her projects with him. Her company needed this and she was a nervous wreck last I talked to her.
I am so proud of her achievements, even after going through so much in her life, with so little support she has achieved so much and made a name for herself, I am sure she is going to get this deal.
I was thinking about this when I heard my phone ping and my screen flashed her name.
Aww.. baby I love you too and thanks for your support. Your msg was all I needed. Will text you after the meeting.

I put my phone in my bag and picked up my gear and ran towards the field before anyone would say anything as to why I was sitting in the shed for so long and not practicing.

Kanika's Pov
"Kanii, the presentation was so good, they would be dumb if they didn't like it and gave us this project" I heard Neelima saying.
"This is not a good sign, why are they taking so long to decide, I don't think we are going to get this deal" I replied. Neelu sighed "You are such a baby, have patience Kanii, its only been like an hour, they will call us, don't worry everything will work out"
"I don't know, I just want to go back to India but if we don't get this deal then that would mean we would have to spend another week here and I won't be able to meet Veekay before he leaves for England" I said sitting on the couch and covering my face with my hands.
"I am not such a bad company" Neelu said trying to lighten up my mood.
"You know what I mean Neelu"
" I understand, just have faith, this deal is going to work and then before you know it you will be back in your lover's arms doing stuffs that I don't want to think about" Neelu said mockingly.
A blush crept up my face thinking about all the stuffs I did wanna do with him and I threw a pillow on her face "Neelu when will you stop teasing me?"
"When will you stop blushing every time I mention his name, or when he calls or when he texts?" Neelu said.
We both started laughing at this.
"Lovers no matter how you say it, It always sounds creepy" I said to Neelu
At this we started laughing even more.
This is why I love Neelu so much, she knows how to help me in my mini panic attacks.
After a few hours, I got a call from the Salvatore office.
I answered, "Hello"
"Hello Ms Kanika This is Stefan calling" The voice on the other side said.
"Ms. Kanika we liked your views regarding this project and these are the kind of ideas that we want to imbibe in this deal." Mr. Salvatore said.
"It would be our pleasure to work with Salvatore consolidtaions, I am sure we would be able to reach new heights with this venture" I replied trying to hide my joy and happiness and my need to dance it out.
"We would also like that but only if you agree on our one condition" He replied.
"What condition" I asked cautiously.
"We want the base of operations to be Italy and you and your team will have to work from here, we would provide you the office space and all the facilities but my brother insists on this one condition"
The first thing that came in my mind after hearing this was Veekay.
"Hello.. hello Ms. Kanika are you there? " I heard him.
" Yes Mr. Salvatore, Can you give me some time to think about it before making this decision?"
"Actualy Ms. Kanika, we have other people interested in this project so I am afraid you will have to make a decision right now" he replied
My company needed this but veekay how would I live without him here, if this opportunity would have come before I would have said yes in the blink of an eye but now. If I don't do this my company will go in losses, i didn't have any other choice.
"Yes Mr. salvatore, its a deal" I replied feeling a building in my heart where just moments back there was so much happiness.
How am I going to explain this to veekay?
