You walked into the library, a smile on your face. But it soon turned into a frown when you saw Sam sitting on one of the comfy chairs reading a book. You rolled your eyes.

"Hi Sam," You said and he looked up. He smiled and said, "Hey." Sam has his head in a book all the time, especially nowadays. And he's not reading lovely fictional novels... No. He was reading long, boring, sort of creepy lore books for a case. You could see the stress on his face.

You sat on the arm rest, your back touched his shoulder and arm. "Whatcha reading?" You grinned, playing with his hair. "Nothing, just something about sirens," He said and flipped the page.

You bent down and kissed his cheek, making him shiver. "Baby, just rest for a while. You've been sitting here for two hours," You said but he shook his head. You sighed, "At least come to our room, I'm bored."

He hesitated, thinking about the fact that he'd get distracted. "I think it's better if I-"

"Pweetty pweaseeee?!" You have him the puppy eyes and he sighed. "Okay... Fine," He said and smiled softly. You grabbed his hand and led him to your bedroom. You shut the door behind you and Sam walked over to the bed.

He immediately started reading his book, not even looking up to you for a moment. You rolled your eyes and took off the hoodie you were wearing, leaving the sleeveless purple shirt on. Sam stared at you and you giggled. He cleared his throat and looked back to his book. You were definitely distracting him.

You decided that you'd read a book too. I mean, what else is there to do? You walked over to your small book shelf above your desk and picked the one you were currently reading, [book/name]. You loved the story and the characters within it.

You sat next to Sam and pulled your knees closer to your chest. You rested the book on your legs and opened the chapter where your bookmark lay.

You and Sam read for ten minutes but... He kept glancing to you. It bothered you a bit but something surely bothered Sam a lot.

"Um, [y/n], why are you reading a book?" Sam asked. You continued to look at your book when you answered him, "Because you're sitting here reading and it's not like I'm bored and lonely. It's not like you're completely occupied in a book most of the time and it's not like I feel left out." You blurted it out. You were really annoyed and you missed his attention.

"Oh my... Is that how you really feel? Am I making you feel that way?" Sam asked after closing his book. He turned and faced you, crossing his legs and giving you all his attention. You sighed and nodded. You hated the fact that you were acting like a child right now.

"I'm so sorry [y/n], I didn't know..." Sam said and looked down in sadness. "It's just that you're always reading a book and you don't even notice me anymore," You said, "You don't even talk to me unless it's for a reason, you come to bed late and you wake up at five in the morning. I'm worried for you Sam. I'm worried about..." You frowned.

"Worried about what?" Sam asked and you took a deep breath. "I'm worried about u-us," You replied, "I don't want to sound like a child but if you love reading so much you might as well just date some book instead of me."

Sam moved back a bit, a hurt look covered his face. You immediately regretted saying that, you didn't mean it and you're just... Sad and lonely.

He took your hands and shifted forward. You were questioning his every move but then he kissed you. You didn't expect it, given the hurt he was feeling a few moments ago but then you kissed him back. You'd take advantage of this moment.

"I'm sorry [y/n]. I'm sorry I haven't been giving you my time. You deserve all my time and if I fail to do that then... It's better if you're not with me anymore," Sam said and you looked at your hands. He lifted your chin and you stared into his beautiful eyes.

"Give me another chance, please?" He said, his puppy eyes were so hard to say no to. Your frown turned into a grin, "Okay, but only one more chance."

He kissed you again, this time more harder. You didn't have the slight lest idea where all that energy suddenly came from. You gripped his shirt tightly, causing it to wrinkle and crumple. His hand left you hair in a mess, his hair wasn't in that great of a shape either.

One thing was for sure... He wasn't going to go back to reading his book for a long time.
