Remember Mary Margaret was once Emma and Killian's teacher back in high school...
(Emma only calls her mom now in this sequel because there was a lot of development between them in these years - same to David cuz he's not her real father)Okay here we go... 😂😂😂
COMMENT EVERY FUCKING THOUGHT I'M SRSLY SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS
It's not until Mary Margaret mentions it that she realizes Christmas is in 25 days.
It's been a week, they're in December now and she got a job two days ago - a waitress. Again. This time at a nice, silent diner on the other side of the street called Chicken Waffles.
She was starting in 3 days, next Monday. It wasn't something she was excited for, for sure. And Killian knew it. Her mother knew it when she told her that just an hour ago. Her father... well he was still at the station because of a case that suddenly appeared - he didn't say much more but he told them he'd tell them right when he got home. But both Mary Margaret and Killian had shared that look. The look of I-want-to-help-you-but-I-really-don't-know-how.
"So, here's the thing. The kids are organizing a Christmas play... We did have a Santa last year but that teacher is actually sick-" Mary Margaret darkly chuckled at that "sick... he's just enjoying an early vacation." Killian and Emma's eyes widen and they look at each other sensing what's coming. "We really need a Santa for the play. Killian you would only need to wave at the kids. Please, this show depends on me." Well that escalated quickly.
"Oooooooooh whaaaaat?"
"Killian as a Santa?" Emma blurted out laughing at his reaction.
"Come on, no one will know it's you. You'll be under all the beards and pillows."
"Pillows?" Killian asks.
"Well, Santa's belly."
"Why don't you play Santa? You don't need pillows. You're perfectly fine for the job." Emma teased her about the baby growing inside her belly.
"I'll be guiding the kids, I can't be Santa!" Mary Margaret said it like it was common sense. "And Emma, you could play Rudolph! Ohhhh my God we still have the reindeer disguise there! I almost forgot it since we didn't use it last year-"
"You want us to dress as Santa and Rudolph in the same exact school we used to attend when we were kids?"
"It's been ages since you two were there."
"No. Absolutely no." Emma says and chuckles, looking down and thinking of how ridiculous it was that Mary Margaret ever thought they would accept this.
"Please? Killian. It's for the kids."
"I-" he's serious, pondering how to tell Mary Margaret that there's no way he'd do this in the most delicate way when the thought of how fun this could be comes to his mind. How much he'd actually like to go back to the school where everything happened, where their love bloomed and also make the kids happy. "I'll go if Emma goes."
"No way."
"Emma, it's a good cause! The money of the entrance will go for Christmas presents for homeless children."
