Ara's heart nearly stopped as he said those words. She'd never been in love, let alone have someone love her the way Ashton probably did.

She stared up at him, utterly surprised by it, and it made Ashton a little uncomfortable. He hadn't necessarily planned on telling her then, it just sort of slipped out.

Ashton glanced down at the floor, shuffling in place. He wasn't the best at expressing his feelings, due to the fact that Ara was the first girl he ever really dated. So this way all new to him. He went to untangle himself from her, but she stopped him. His eyes flickered up to meet her gaze.

Ara pulled Ashton closer to her, if that were even possible, and wrapped her arms around her neck. She leaned in no that their noses touched, and he could feel her warm breath on his lips. "Ara," he breathed. "Say something. Please." She closed her eyes, and swallowed.

"I-" Ara stumbled over the words, as they seemed to be lodged in her throat at the moment. She could feel her throat tighten a bit. She sighed. "Dammit." She cursed. "Do you see what you do to me?" She asked looking up at him. "You make me feel like a little girl who can't even say three damn words." Ashton gave her a look of confusion.

"What are you saying?" He asked.

"I'm saying that I love you too." She rushed out before sighing again. "Now, why was that such a struggle?" She asked herself. Ara squealed as she was picked up and spun around in a circle. "Ashton put me down!" She laughed. So he did. Ara gripped his shirt to steady herself.

"I love you." He said, resting his forehead against hers.

"I love you to." She whispered back. The two of them stood there then, not sure of where to go from there. Ashton was prepared to kiss her again, however, a knock on the door interrupted them. Teddy stuck his head into his sister's room.

"Oh hey Ashton." He said casually.

"Hey Teddy." He replied, trying to hide his laughter.

"How come he never uses the front door?" Teddy smirked at the older boy who's grin fell and turned to sheer embarrassment

"I already asked him that." She sighed. "Anyways, what do you need?"

"Nothing. Just came to say hi." Teddy couldn't help but smile at his sister. Ara reached over and smacked him in the back of his head.

"Get your head out of the gutter." She said. Teddy laughed.

"Bye Ara. Bye Ashton."

Once Teddy was gone, the two couldn't help but laugh. "Oh god," Ara breathed. "That was so awkward."

"Just a little." Ashton replied, laughing. She leaned against him. "He seemed so casual about it."

"He was probably listening." She replied. "Kinky motherfucker." She mumbled under her breath.

"What?"

"Nothing." She replied. Ashton rolled his eyes.

"Whatever you say love. Whatever you say."

Ara cuddled deeper into Ashton's chest as they laid, tangled in her bed. Her head rested on his chest, with both his arms around her waist. "This is nice." She mumbled quietly.

"Yeah it is." He replied. He ran his hand gently through her hair, and sighed. "Ara," Ashton looked away from her. She shifted lightly.

"Yeah?" She asked.

"I want to thank you." He said.

"For what?"

"Saving me." He said. "From my dad. My-" he swallowed hard. "Saving me from myself." Ara lightly touched the side of his face, making him look at her.

"What do you mean from yourself?" Ara was almost too afraid to know the answer.

"Not everyone can be strong Ara, not even the strongest of us." He sighed. He hooked a finger under the multiple bracelets and lifted them slightly so that Ara could see the faded lines sprawled across his wrists. Ara gently touched them, making Ashton flinch a little. She rolled over, straddling his waist, and grabbed his arm. She pulled it onto her lap, and began slipping the bands off his arm one by one. When she had finally removed all the bracelets, Ara did something that caught Ashton completely off guard. She lifted his arm and kissed the scars on his wrist. His breathing hitched a little, and he suddenly felt warmer than before.

Ashton sat up, wrapping an arm securely around his girlfriend, and bringing a hand up to cup the side of her face. He leaned in so that their noses brushed against each others.

All was quiet between the two until Ara made the first move, connecting their lips. It was a soft kiss between them, their lips molding together. It was sweet and passionate, nothing rough about the kiss.

Ashton pulled away first to catch his breath, but gave Ara no time to recover as he captured her in another kiss with so much force she had to grip the front of his shirt to hold herself up. Her arms slowly snaked around his neck, tangling her fingers in his hair and tugging at the ends.

Ashton ran his tongue along her bottom lip begging for entrance. Ara complied, opening her mouth allowing him access. He slipped inside, exploring. Ara pulled him closer to her, if that were even possible. Ashton let him arm fall from her neck to grip the side of her waist. He pulled back, and moved to the side of her neck, nipping and sucking gently at the skin. Ara bit down on her bottom lip. Ashton kissed the base of her neck softly and smirked when Ara let out a breath of air. Ara let her hand slip under Ashton's shirt, pulling it up over his head. She stared at his bare chest causing him to laugh. "Like what you see?" He asked, teasingly, breaking the silence. Ara smiled and kissed the side of his neck.

"Yeah." She mumbled against him. Ashton closed his eyes as she began kissing him neck. His breathing became slightly ragged as she dragged her hand down his chest, stopping above the waistline of his jeans.

"Ara" he breathed. She leaned back and looked at him.

"Yes?" She replied. She gently pulled at the ends of his hair, making shut his eyes. Ara couldn't help but smile, loving the affect she was having on him right now. She leaned in and kissed him, tugging on his bottom lip. She shifted in his lap. Ashton grabbed her hips stopping all movements.

"Ara," he repeated her name, this time with more seriousness. He tightened his grip on her waist, and opened his eyes. They were darker than before and filled with lust.

"Ashton," she mocked, kissing below his ear. She bit down gently on his earlobe.

"Just- I, fuck  Ara, just,"

"Just what Ashton? Use your words." She kissed down his chest, teasing him. She placed a kiss on both of his hips, causing him to moan quietly. She stopped above the waistline of his jeans, and slowly popped the button open.

"Jesus Ara, just do something, please." Ara looked up at him with hooded eyes and a mischievous smirk.

"Like what?"
