Finally got around to writing the finale. I really wanted to be able to finish this New Year because that would be marking a year from when I wrote The Apprentice which started all this crazy. Thank you everyone for sticking by. Please read until the end for a brief author's note.

Song is Marry Me by Train. All fictional characters are a product of my imagination. The real ones I have no connection to.

Grab a glass of wine and enjoy! Happy new year!

In Which The Wait Is Over

Forever can never be long enough for me

To feel like I've had long enough with you

It's not anymore a surprise for him to see his grandson come up to their family home unannounced. It's been happening more than usual for the past 2 years. He isn't blind nor is he oblivious to what the boy is going through. Reminds him of the time he's found the father in the same mood many, many moons ago. He wanted to ask questions just to help the boy out, but he knew, like his daughter-in-law, he's not one of many words until he's ready.

"Good afternoon Lolo!" R3 greeted him with a fake smile.

"Oh, andito ka na naman. May garden naman kayo sa bahay a."

The boy just scratched his ear, "But it's not as quiet as it is here."

"Wag mo yan ipo-post Lo!

It seemed like he hit the bull's eye because R3 just dropped his head and became quiet again.

May pag-asa ako, malaki."

"Eh ayon naman pala. Para saan yang Alden Richards drama face mo?"

"Pag narinig ka ni Papa-"

"Pag narinig nya ako, mag-a-apir kami. Ano na?"

"I need to ask her to marry me."

"Ginawa mo na yan dati. At anong sagot?"

"No. Thank you for reminding me. Lakas mo talaga mang-encourage."

"I'm just stating facts.

"I don't know how to ask her again."

"Tsk. Did you even ask them?"

"I did! They weren't very helpful."

"Ano bang sabi?"

"Mama just said that the secret to her success is a viral video. I mean, does that even still work these days?"

"That IS the secret to your mother's success. But it doesn't mean it's yours."

"Papa just told me not to give Sabrina any choice."

He laughed heartily. Because it was true. It was too much truth in one sentence.

"So you think I should do it that way?"
