Percy and Annabeth aren't together yet
Percy

I walked into my apartment and closed the door. "Mom! I'm home!"

"In here, Percy!" She yelled back. I walked into the kitchen to see my mom, baking cookies. "There's a fresh batch from oven, be care-"

I immediately grabbed a blue cookie and took a bit. Stupid me. "HOT!"

I spit it out and tried to cool down my tongue. My mom just shook her head at me, laughing a bit.

"Well, if you had let me finish, I would have told you that they were hot."

I pouted. "Yeah, yeah."

She laughed, "Annabeth and Grover are coming over today right?"

I nodded. Annabeth was coming from California, after visiting her grandmother. Grover was coming from boarding school.

"Yeah, they are," I checked my watch. "They should be here in 3...2...1.."

Knock Knock

"I got it!" I yelled running to the door.

"Hey Percy!" I opened the door, and was face to face with my best friend. My shoulders slumped as I look at Grover.

"I thought you were Annabeth."

Grover rolled his eyes and chuckled. "Ow, I'm hurt. Don't worry she's right behind me."

I pushed past him and saw Annabeth coming out of the elevator. She saw me and dropped the large book she was holding.

"Percy!"

"Annabeth!"

We ran towards each other and hugged. She jumped on me and I held her. She had her legs wrapped around my waist, while my arms were around her waist. I could feel my face heat up at our close proximity.

She let go and landed ok the ground. "What's up Percy?"

"Not much, I missed you guys!"

She blushed a bit, but smiled. "I missed you guys too. Come on, I wanna see your mom."

She picked up her book and walked ahead of me into the apartment. I could help myself, and I stared at her retreating form. She was wearing leggings and a sweater. Her shoes were grey with green laces, that I had custom made for her birthday. Her hair was curly as usual, but now reached her lower back.

I thought she looked beautiful.

I followed after her, and saw my mom talking to Annabeth, as Grover ate a now cool cookie.

"Whatcha guys talking about? Me?" I asked.

"Maybe," Annabeth said, as I blushed. My mom giggled and walked away.

"Lets go to the movies, I've been waiting to see something," Grover said. I nodded in agreement and threw on my jacket.

"Be careful Percy. I'll see you kids later," My mom ushered us out and we left.

When we got to the movies, I spotted a familiar redhead. It was Rachel, my friend from school.

"Hey Rachel!" I said. She turned and smiled.

"Hi Percy. Who's this?" She asked.

"These are my best friends Grover, and Annabeth." Rachel scanned them over and I could see that she seemed a bit iffy around Annabeth. I rolled my eyes and hoped nothing would happen.

"Hey," Grover and Annabeth piped.

"What are you guys going to watch?" Rachel asked.

"Jurassic World," I replied. "You?"

"Oh, me too! Let's go together."

Seating order: Grover, Percy, Annabeth, Rachel

As we sat down, a group of boy in front of us turned and wolf whistled at Annabeth. She made a face and plopped down in her seat.

"Are you from Tennessee? Cause you're the only ten I see," one of them laughed and high fives his friend.

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "No, I'm from California."

"Did it hurt when you feel from heaven?"

"Scared my knee crawling out of hell," Annabeth replied. I snickered.

He kept going with the stupid pick up lines. He even asked if Annabeth wanted to sit in his lap, as a helpless girl like her would surely get scared.

I wanted to punch him for saying that to her. Annabeth was far from helpless. "Leave her alone," I growled.

"And who are you? Her boyfriend? Doubtful," he said.

"Actually he is," Annabeth said.

"What?" He said.

"What?" I repeated.

"You heard me. He's my boyfriend. Now leave me alone," she snapped.

"Then kiss him."

I paled. Annabeth was going to kiss me? I remembered a long time ago, when we were caught under mistletoe and she kissed me.

"Fine!" Annabeth grabbed my face and pressed her lip onto mine. I saw a snap of light and knew that Grover had just taken a photo.

When she let go, the douche and his friends were gone. "Finally! I'd thought they'd never leave!"

I stared at her. I couldn't remember where I was, or what my name was. "I'll...um...be right-uh-back."

I got up and ran out of the theater. I sat down on the steps outside and just ran through my thoughts.

"Are you okay?" Annabeth stood next to me, her eyes narrowed.

"Uh, yeah. I'm fine."

She sat down and looked at the parking lot. I stared at her and impulsively did the following.

I grabbed her face and kissed her. Her lips tasted like Blue Jolly Rancher lip gloss she always put on. She wrapped her arms around me, and kissed me back.

When we ran out of air, she pulled back. "Percy?"

"Mmmh?"

"What is this?" She gestured between us.

"I have absolutely no idea."

She giggle and continued. "I have an idea."

I raised my eyebrows. "Oh really?"

"Yeah really. How about this becomes more?"

I felt a sudden burst of confidence. "I'd like that."

"Me too."

And she sealed the space between our lips.
