Chapter 12 - Bookstore

Toni was sitting in front of the TV for the last hour. She could not find anything interesting to do or watch. She has been switching channel but she still could not anything interesting on the TV. Grey walk out of his room to find Toni bore out of her mind.

"What are you Doing?" said Grey.
"Watching TV!" said Toni. Grey look at the TV and saw that she keep changing channels. Grey immediately walks to Toni and snatch the remote from her.

"Hi give me back!!!" said Toni. Grey switch off the TV and says,

"Don't you have anything better to do?"

"I can't think of anything to do. I can't go back to the diner to work until Angie said I can and now I have nothing to do." said Toni while she lay down on the sofa.

"Homework? Don't you have homework?"
"Done that and did revision twice."
"Laundry?"
"Done!!"
"Wiping all the dust?"
"Done!!"
"Change the bed sheet?"
"Done!"
"Change the curtain!!!"
"Done...Done and done." said Toni.

"I can't help you with your boredom then" said Grey and walk away.

"This is freaking boring!!!" said Toni. Suddenly Grey walk back to her and look right at her face giving Toni a shock making her fall down from the sofa.

"Ouch....Grey!!!" shouted Toni. Grey look Toni not feeling any guilt for what happen and say,

"You ok?" Toni slowly sat up and touches her back which was in pain.
"Of course not!!" said Toni angrily.
"Get change....I know what you can do." said Grey while he walk to his room and change. Toni look at him go.
"You can't order me around!!!" said Toni grumbling while she stood up and walk to her room.

Grey and Toni was walking to the park and pass by some shops. It is the first time that they are walking together since they knew each other. It was kind of weird but cosy at the same time. Grey tries his best not to look at Toni. His heart was beating much faster than normal whenever Toni hand accidentally touches his. After walking for less than 30 minutes, Grey stop in front of an old book store. Toni stops and looks at Grey.

"Let's Go!!!" said Grey while he walk into the book store. Toni follows him and was shock to see the condition of the bookstore. There were a lot of books, mixture of old and new book. The place was full with dust. Book were all around, and Toni hated when the books is laying on the floor.

"What are we doing here?" said Toni while she pull Grey shirt. Grey looks at her and says,

"You said you were boring. Mike...Mike!!"Suddenly a guy pop out from the corner of the pile off books making Toni jump.

"Boss...you're here...oh my god. I can't believe it." Said Mike who was were jumpy when he saw Grey. He was wearing a long sleeve sweater and jean. He has thick glasses on and look like in the mid-20.

"Mike...This is Toni, she will be working here with you." Said Grey while introducing Toni to Mike.

"Toni Pearson...Nice to meet you." Said Toni. Mike walks and says,

"Mike Anthony. Nice to meet you."

"You guys discuss the shift that you like. I'll pay her the same as yours Mike." Said Grey while he turns around and wanted to walk out when Toni grab his hand and stood very close to him. Grey was taken a back and looks at her eyes again that make his heart beat faster that the rest.

"You own this shop? You did not even discuss it with me?" said Toni whispering at Grey so that Mike did not hear than talking.

"You told me you were bore, and this is the only place I know that need your kind of expertise. "

"But you did not tell me anything and hire me. You hire me...do you know how much I cost?"

"Do you know how much I pay him an hour? $20 dollar per hour." Said Grey. Toni was shock till her mouth was wide open. She was never been pay $20 per hour. Grey moves himself closer towards her, whisper to her ears and says,

"And yes I can afford that kind of salary for you and this is my bookstore." Grey closes her mouth and making Toni speechless and her heart too was beating very fast. The kind where her hand get sweaty, her heart keep beating, where everything became like move scenes and her stomach started to twinkle a lot.

"I take you back home later." said Grey while he walks out of the bookstore. Toni looks around and started to drool on him.

"He walks out of here just like an actor. He makes my heart ponder every time he leaves." Said Mike. Toni agrees greatly while she nodded her head.
