Chapter 32 - After 10 years

The lift door open to the 15 floor where the finance office of the Grey building is located. Toni and Alex walked out of the lift and the first time Toni see is a bight sign called "CASPER". She looked at it somehow she felt that she remember the name from somewhere but she could not recalled.

"Hi I'm looking for David Smith, is he in today?" said Ash he asked the tall petite receptionist.

"He's in today would you like me to called him out?" said Sandy.

"No...we would like to surprise him!!" said Ash.

"Surprise him??" puzzle Sandy.

"Yes please...where is his desk?" asked Ash.

"Um...I don't think you guys can go in!" said Sandy again as the office is only for personnel only.

"Hi Sandy my name is Detective Pearson and this is Detective Matthew where is David Smith desk please?" said Toni as she did not want to wastes anymore precious time explaining to Sandy.

"Left glass door, walk all the way in the last cubicle you could see him already." said Sandy. Toni and Ash thanked her and walk into the direction that Sandy had explain to them earlier.

They walk all the way till they saw David was sitting at his desk talking to his lady colleague smiling and joking which make Toni furious when a few days ago he reported to the police crying and begging the police to find his missing girlfriend.

"David my friend!!" said Ash as he slam his body to David and place his hand around him. David looked at Ash shocked to see Toni and Ash is there.

"Detectives what are you doing here?" said David nervously.

"Miss would you please give us a moment?" said Toni to the lady friend of David which immediately walk away.

"Detective did you find my girlfriend?" said David acting innocent.

"We found her body!!!" said Ash.

"What!!!" replied David shock that they found his girlfriend dead body which was a sign to Toni and Ash that David is the culprit.

"There was a cctv capture someone was blue audi driving very fast 1 week ago going to the outskirt of the town. We track it to the nearby lake where the body has been dump." Said Toni as she explain to him what they have found which make him nervous. Sweats were flooding all over his body, as he wipe his fore head and looked around.

"Where were you 1 week ago?" question Toni but instead of answering her question David push Ash aside and attempt to run out of the office. Toni and Ash give chase when suddenly David fly back into the office and fall down to the ground. They looked at David who was in pain and looked back at the office door when they saw the person who threw David back in.

"Grey!!!" said Ash shock to see him right in front of them.

"Confess or else.." threaten Grey to David who was always scare of his boss Mr. McCall truth to be told everyone is afraid of him especially when he is angry he will give out a dark aura which he is making right now.

"I killed her a week ago. I asked to sell her apartment so that I could pay off my debt after borrowing some guys who I borrowed money to gamble. I'm sorry...I'm really sorry!!!" cried David.

"Mr David Smith you have the right to remind silence...." said Ash as he read David right as they walk David out of the office but as Toni walk out Grey manage to grab her arms. Toni looks at Grey furious at him for not calling her.

It has been 10 years and only now she met him. She did told him that she will wait for him but 10 years and no calls no email nothing from him it always make her think if he remembers her.
