"Ma, how much longer 'til we get home?" Messiah asked eagerly. I was equally anxious. We were back in our hometown, a place we haven't been in, for a few months.
I couldn't wait to laid down in my old bed again, be in my old room.
Couldn't wait to watch TV in my old room, etc.
But I especially couldn't wait to see my friends again. Catch up on everything I missed...
I most definitely want to see a certain someone whose been on my mind the whole flight.
"Just a few more minutes baby, pops is bringing around the car now" she responded while pulling him into a hug. I started to get even more excited in my seat.
"Ooh I can't wait!" I squealed.
"Me neither!" Dejah started giggling and I joined her.
"Yeah, y'all get to sleep in your old beds, go out in the yard for bit, the whole nine" Ma stated, making my younger siblings jump up and down.
"What about you Nique, what you gone do?" King asked sweetly. I grinned while pulling him into my lap, "I'm just gone hangout with friends."
Mama glanced at me, "Even Ray Ray? You still talk to him don't you?"
I solemnly shook my head. I wish I did but somehow we lost contact during the time of the move. I cannot wait to see him, I just can't.
Thanks to Mickey, I might be hearing from him sometime soon. I really want this to work again...really.
"Alright Harris family, lets roll out!" Pops finally came through the double doors of the airport with his car keys in hand. We all slowly grabbed our bags in a mood tiredness.
Pops clapped his hands together, " C'mon people! I'm tired too now, let's go!" He picked up a suitcase and headed towards the car.
I grabbed my things and followed behind him in his footsteps.

"I finally get to lay my head down" I thought as I fell backwards onto my bed and snuggled into my pillows. I let out a breath then gently closed my eyes.
It took me a few seconds to realize I had forgotten something. I rose up, picked up my phone and dialed the number.
It was a minute or two before I heard a voice on the other end. It was groggy and raspy.
"Hello?"
I cracked a small smile, "Hey it's me...I made it."
Her voice perked up some, "Forreal? Like, actually here in California?"
"Yeah, we just got in about an hour ago. So what we doing tomorrow?"
"Meet me at the nearest park tomorrow and we'll talk then. Right now I need some sleep"
"But you told me to call you as soon as I got home..."
"Nigga, it's damn near three in the morning...care yo' ass to bed"
"But I'm not tired at all" I failed that statement by letting out a loud yawn.
"Mhmm, tired my ass"
I chuckled, "Alright fine. See you tomorrow. Good night."
"Night, Nique"
I pressed END and put my phone on its charger. Once I laid my head down, I was out like a light.
