Juvia had never felt more disobedient than she did right now. Her blue hair flowing as she gently peaked her eyes over the rock to stair at the person before her. Humans were such a curious thing. They could walk on feet, and they never seemed to be bothered to great the animals that walked on their land.

The woman could just not understand. What about this one person was worth her disobeying every order and rule placed forward by her master. It would most definitely not be long until her friend and masters right hand Gajeel came looking for her. With a soft sigh, Juvia began to let herself sink back into the water. As she did, the girl flicked her wrist, gently prompting the water to rise higher on the beach than it normally would. The water gently caressed the feet of the human with which the mermaid had been staring.

As soon as the water touched the woman's feet, sunglasses were pulled off her face as she looked around. "Did someone just splash me?" She asked, letting her eyes dart back and forth across the beach. There was no one insight except for her friend Levy who was currently relaxing beside her. "I could have sworn." She mumbled lowering her sunglasses  from her soft brown hair as she raised her magazine back up in front of her face.

With the woman's face returned to the paper, Juvia quickly spun around intending upon rushing back toward her home. Instead, she was met with a solid tan chest. Black hair floated around her for a moment and she didn't dare to look up. Before her stood her best friend Gajeel. The male had obviously come looking for her before her master did. "Juvia tell me you were not above the surface?" He asked. In his heart he already knew her answer. Of course she was. That girl couldn't keep herself in control for ten seconds before she was sticking her nose into someone else's lives.

"Juvia.....Juvia was......umm....." The woman stammered looking up into her friends crimson eyes with her brown ones. Before she could piece her thoughts together, the male swam past her. Within moments his head was above water and he was staring at the women on the beach. There was a long pause of silence. Crimson eyes inspecting the females before him. When the silence finally broke, Juvia couldn't help but release a sigh. "Well damn. Look at that shrimp." He snickered softly to himself as his eyes lingered over the blue haired woman laying on the towel.

"Gajeel-kun hush." Juvia whispered quickly clapping a hand over the males mouth. "We do not need Cana-San and Levy to hear us."

Gajeel pulled away from the woman's grasp and raised an eyebrow at her. "You know both of their names huh?" He asked raising an eyebrow. The blush that crossed the blues haired woman's face caused Gajeel to chuckle again. "Gihi. Tell me ur lookin at the brunette." He stated. Juvia slowly nodded, ringing her hands in front of her body. A moment later an arm was wrapped around the woman's shoulder and she looked up into the males eyes. "Well I gotta say Juv. Ya got good taste at least." He chuckled again.

There was another long pause of silence before Gajeel slipped his arm away from the woman. "I'll go tell master you are safe. You can continue your stalking."

"Juvia is not....." She started before seeing the look on the males face and blushing deeply. As the male slipped away, Juvia returned to basking in the sight of the woman before her. Before the water continued to raise and gently caress the woman's ankles. It took a few times for the woman to tear her eyes away from the magazine. "I swear whomever is messing with me is gonna get hurt." She snapped, which caused her friend to sit up.

"Cana. Why are you yelling?" Levy asked gently rubbing the sand from her eyes. Hazel eyes searched the woman's face.

"Water keeps touching my feet and there is no way without it hitting you. So someone is splashing me." Cana muttered reaching down to grab ahold of the bottle beside her. As she took a drink, Levy looked around to see no one in sight. A sour look crossed the woman's face as she thought for a moment. 'Cana is correct. There is no way. I mean unless it's like that one book.' She thought quietly to herself.

"You know, In this book I read, it said that the ocean loved a person when it continued to reach out for it." The words came out of her mouth before she even realized how silly it sounded.

Cana turned her head to look at the woman, her sunglasses lowered on her face so she was peering over them at her. "So your saying, if I get in the water, it might stop splashing me?"

Before Levy could answer, the woman was off her beach chair and strutting her way toward the water. Her blue bikini showing off the tan skin that Juvia had been eyeing for the past three hours. Once her toe reached the water, Cana smiled a little to herself. "At least the water feels nice." She mumbled.

Juvia couldn't help but blush as she heard the woman's words. 'She thinks I feel nice.' She thought before watching as the water curled around the woman's legs, slowly bringing her deeper and deeper into the water. The dark haired mermaid was entirely grateful to be so connected to the water. She could feel ever part of the woman's skin without having her even know. Maybe eventually she would have enough nerve to speak to her. For now though, she just let Cana relish in the feeling of the waters gentle caresses.

(I gotta say this almost turned to some weird stuff at the end. Oops? Sue me. Whatever.
Anyway.
This is 112% dedicated to @bamboogreen and @chello_8893 for getting me hooked on the idea of Cana and Juvia.)
