Chapter 6 ~ Welcome back

When we finally made it to the lodge I sighed in relief, too much walking if you ask me. Ashley was sitting on the steps and Matt was leaning on the railing. I smiled when I saw them, turns out I had missed them terribly.

"Ashley!" I yelled.

Ashley looked up from where her gaze had been focused on the ground and jumped up from her spot on the steps. "(Y/n)!" She exclaimed, pulling me into a tight hug.

"Oh my god that is disgusting, it's like she's going to wrap her arms around you twice." I heard a bitchy voice behind me say.

I bit my tongue and turned around to face Emily.

"Oh hi Em! So good to see you! Not!" I said sarcastically.

"Eww it lives." Emily retorted pathetically.

"Seriously Emily? Are you so dumb that you have to steal all your insults from movies?" I heard Josh chuckle behind me but he tried to cover it up by clearing his throat.

"Think again, 4.0 bitch. Honor roll."

I rolled my eyes and turned towards Josh. "Can we please get inside so I can distance myself from that whore."

"I already tried the lock, it's frozen shut." Ashley pouted.

"There's gotta be another way in right?" I asked hopefully.

"Well there's a million ways in they're just all locked." Josh said.

I pouted and sat on the steps, Matt joined me since he didn't say a proper hello.

"Hey (n/n)." Matt said, giving me a sideways glance.

"Hey Matty." I smiled.

"What's new?" He asked, apparently oblivious.

Me and Matt continued to make small talk and I watched Josh out the corner of my eye. He looked slightly jealous. I wondered why the hell he would be jealous but shook my head and went back to my conversation.

Chris and Josh went to go find some other way into the lodge and I continued to talk with Matt. Suddenly, my baggy sleeve fell down exposing my red arms and wrists. I glanced down and pulled my sleeve back down, hoping no one had seen. I looked around to study my friends faces.

Sam was talking with Ashley and Emily was trying to get a signal on her phone. I glanced to Matt who was looking at me with wide eyes. I shook my head slightly at him, hoping he would get the message. He gulped and leaned to to whisper something.

"Does anyone else know?" He asked.

I shook my head and whispered back, "I'd like it to stay that way until I'm ready to say something on my terms. Okay?"

Matt frowned but nodded. I thanked him and stood up to try the door again.

"OooOoOOoooo!" Something yelled in the other side of the door.

"Jesus Christ!" I yelled, jumping back.

Chris showed up in the window, laughing at my scared state.

"Oh my god Chris! Can you please just open the door! We're freezing our buns off out here!" Ashley complained.

"I'm working on it." Chris responded.

I crossed my arms and pouted. "Damn it Chris."

Chris finally got the door open with a can of deodorant and a lighter, using the two together as a flamethrower. He then stupidly grabbed the door handle and opened it. "Ouch." He whispered as he blew on his hand trying to cool off the burning sensation.

I rolled my eyes and pushed past him and entered the cabin with Sam, Matt, Ashely and Emily.

"Hey where did Josh go?" I wondered out loud.

"I'm not sure, I thought he went back with you guys?" Chris answered.

"Haven't seen him." Sam stated.

I began to worry and went out on the porch, looking left and right for Josh.

"(Y/n), where are you going? Just wait for him, I'm sure he's fine." Matt said.

Should you go look for Josh or should you stay with the others?
