chapter 23: Acnologia

Kuro's Pov
I carried master to our field hospital where I saw fellow mages like Lisanna and Elfman and Evergreen as also Bixslow and Freed were there after they had returned with Gildarts when they saw the signal flare I laid master down and turned to Lisanna "i need your help with master" i told her and she nodded as she sat next to me we started bandaging the old guild master after we finished with gramps I said back down and smiled at my sister-in-law and turned to study my own injuries I saw I had a few wounds from fighting Zancrow so I was grateful when I felt Lisanna's soft hands attach bandages on my wounds and I smiled gratefully at her "you're family" she said with a smile I smirked and nodded after Lisanna was finished with my wounds we heard groaning coming from the guild master "Gramps!"  i said in relief that the old man wasn't in too bad of a shape he tried to sit up so I helped him a bit "where are Natsu and stuff?"  he asked and I gulped "they went after Hades" i told him his eyes widened "foolish children" he grumbled but sighed in defeat knowing all he could do was have fate in them I turned to master "Master there is something you're not telling us" i said as my eyes narrowed he sighed and nodded "yes and with deepest of shame I must inform you that the current guild master of Grimoire Heart was former Guild master Precht of Fairytail" he told us and my eyes widened at the name remembering it from my talk with Mavis "you mean Fairytail's second guild master?"  i asked and he nodded my hair covered my eyes as you could feel anger radiating off of me "all we can do now is wait and hope they succeed in the meantime Kuro come with me" he said and I nodded following him into the forest "Listen boy what I'm about to tell you is Fairytail business" he told me and I nodded "Kuro,I'm an old man I do not know how long I have it in me to be master of this guild" he said and my brows furrowed in confusion "Master where are you getting to?" i asked the tiny old man "Kuro when we return from the Trials I want you to take over the guild" he said and my eyes widened "Master you can't be serious isn't Gildarts a better choice?"  i asked bewildered he shook his head "yes Gildarts is an excellent mage only his habit of not staying in one place makes him fall of the list" he told me and I nodded knowing he was at least right about that I ran my hand trough my hair and let out an breath "i don't know master I'm just afraid I won't do well" i told him but then my eyes glinted as I formed a plan "Master if I would become guild master would I be able to set an former Guild master back to their position?"  i asked and he nodded not catching the meaning in my words. Because you see earlier I felt this energy I'm well familiar with at least we all are since electricity singed trough the air and plan to bring our lightning dragon slayer in to the guild came into my mind. So I let out a sigh "sure why not" i told him and when we got back to camp I was relieved to see team Natsu alive, they had won and with them was the person I had sensed before,our old lightning dragon Slayer so I walked up to him and we glanced at each other for a moment before letting out a chuckle I connect my right hand with his left "Welcome back sparky" i smirked as he rolled his eyes at the nickname "yeah yeah whatever" he shrugged but I saw amusement in his eyes.

"i decided to cancel the S-Class trials"  Master announced as the hole group had gathered he got a few complaints mainly in the form of Gray Elfman Natsu and Gajeel but master had another thing planned "if you beat me now I will give you S-Class" he said and the rest immediately backed out except..Natsu who rushed at master only to be met with a giant fist as he smashed him into a tree making us all laugh but then Wendy and Gajeel and Natsu who had gotten up again looked shaken to their core "guys?"  i asked frowning at their behavior then I heard it a loud roar shook trough the sky like lighting then we saw him "Run!" Gildarts shouted as Natsu had different plans "No way maybe he knows where Igneel is" he protested as he tried to get to that monster "Natsu that Dragon is anything but friendly he got me these wounds!" Gildarts yelled at him begging him to just run "So What we're dragon slayers let's do to what we're made off" he shouted as he Wendy and Gajeel send a roar attack at Acnologia
But they didn't even leave a single scratch on him master transformed into his Giant form and got Acnologia in a headlock "Run you fools" he yelled as Gildarts carried Natsu to the ship the rest followed Master orders as he caught my eyes giving me a look and I knew what me meant he told me to look after the guild and take care of them I nodded as a tear ran down my cheek we tried to run "it doesn't matter were not leaving him!"  Natsu shouted and something clicked if we were to die here we would go down fighting as a family we rushed back to help master as we all used a attack on Acnologia but it was no use it just seems like it annoyed him as he flew up from the island he started to suck air in his mouth creating a tornado we stood in a circle "Everyone focus your magic on Freed and Levy" Erza commanded so we did "let's go home,back to Fairytail" we all said at the same time while I had another thought in my mind "I'm sorry Mira" and a bright light engulfed us as my conciseness slipped away
