"Why is everyone getting shot?"

"It's the mafia. It has to be. Those are mk14 bullets on the floor over there." Dazai pointed out, letting out an irritated sigh.

I nodded, though I honestly had no idea what he was talking about.

I looked back at her and pulled my lips into a thin line.

"What?" She asked, still managing a gentle glare despite her situation.

"Are we leaving you?" I chided sharply, arching a brow as I shifted so my bandages would be more comfortable.

"Why would you take me?" She whimpered softly,

"You helped me." I lisped, trying to get my shaking arms under her waist.

Dazai noticed and lightly pulled me back.

"I'll do it. You need to sit out for a bit and let your waist rest."

I pursed my lips, but nodded.

Dazai lifted Lalisa up and looked down at me.

"Can you stand on your own?" He chided, furrowing his brows.

I hopped up as fast as I could without shifting too much to demonstrate my point.

I winced when I was up and gave him a small thumbs up.

Dazai smiled reassuringly and looked around quickly.

"Let's go out the front. It'll be a little safer than the back now."

I nodded again and pushed him lightly, telling him to hurry up.

"You okay?" He asked, his eyes trailing down to my blood soaked bandage.

I put on a bitter smile.

"Yeah." I mumbled, nudging him again .

"Just go." I said, motioning for him to go.

His face twisted with worry, but he obliged and walked slower then he needed to to stay next to me.

"Are you sure you're okay?" He asked again.

"Yes! You have someone who's in worse condition than me in your arms,"

I paused and cleared my throat awkwardly.

I added, "So take care of her."

He nodded, slowly picking up his pace.

I bit my lip and tried to keep with his new pace.

Dazai pushed open the door, hardly paying attention to Lalisa groaning is his arms.

I saw the door was slowly starting to close and I staggered into the door and held it open for myself to pass.

He turned around to me with a solemn look.

"I'm sorry." He apologized. I shook my head let the door close.

"It's fine." I said, slightly waving it off.

I added, "Let's just get somewhere for Lalisa."

"And you." He pointed out.

I smiled and nodded.

Dazai set Lalisa down on a bed and turned back to me.

"Yosano will handle her." He sighed out, his gaze dropping to mine.

"I don't know where she is, I came to look for you with her and Ranpo. We just left them there." Dazai's eyes shifted to the ground.
