~Ricks POV~
"She has a hard time being alone Rick." He said, his heart breaking in two. "God... I couldn't get her parents to stay, and now she's gone too..."
"Oh please." I said, grabbing the screwdriver. "Worst case scenario she's in a prison for being a woman." I rolled my eyes.
Truth was, that was not the worst case. I didn't want to THINK about the worst case scenario. I meet the only person nearly as smart as me, and she's already stolen my stuff. I was terrified to realize that She could possibly be dead.
"She's smart." I said, mainly to myself. "She can handle herself."
"Rick you don't know my granddaughter like I do." He shook his head. "Her greatest fear is to be in complete silence, and to be left fully alone."
"Relax, we can just find another her in another dimension." I shrugged.
"You're thinking of replacing my granddaughter?!" He yelled.
Suddenly, a green portal opened, and Evil Rick had a gun to (Y/N)'s head. He smirked as he twister her arm hurt her behind her back, causing her to whimper slightly.
Her grandfather stood still, unsure of what to do. Maybe it was the blood dripping from the side on her head, maybe it was the fact that he was bending her arm behind her back. Didn't matter what it was, but it made me unbelievably pissed.
"Let her go." I growled, pointing a gun at him.
"At a price." He replied, bending her arm further, causing her to cry out in pain.
"What's your price." I snarled.
"I want your Morty." He smirked. That goddamn satisfied smirk.
"Rick no!" She yelled.
"Shut it." He said, attempting to bend her arm, nearly breaking it.
Only he wasn't able to. She kicked him in the balls, grabbing the portal gun with her unharmed arm, and kicked him into a newly formed portal.
"Oh thank God." I sighed in relief.
"Thank God?! She's nearly dead you asshole!" Her grandfather yelled.
"I'm not dead!" She yelled back at him. "I'm better than that Grandpa. I'm better than Dad. I'm better than you, and you're so scared to admit that."
"We need to get you to a hospital-"
"No." She snapped. "What YOU need to do is let me make my own decisions in life. If I don't fail, how the hell am I supposed to learn?! Oh try protecting me from the unknown, but all I want to find is the unknown.
"Please grandpa." She said, holding her arm. "Just let me be in danger, I don't need you to save me from myself anymore."
"You're just like your father." He said, tears falling in his eyes.
"Except I won't end up dead because of a stupid decision he knew wouldn't work." She said with a strong attitude.
"Sorry I stole it." She said, handing me the portal gun.
"Did he hurt you?"
"Just a tiny bit..." she lied, wiping the blood with her long sleeved shirt.
"What else did he do?"
"Nothing." She lied again.
"(Y/N)..." I said in a warning tone.
She blushed and looked down. "He locked me up... and set Morty to beat me up..." she looked embarrassed. "I-I thought he needed help... so I attempted to help him but... he cut me with a knife..."
"That son of a-" I began, only for her to look at me with helpless eyes.
She felt so much shame, I could see it. I could see tears forming in her eyes, her Grandfather just stared at me. She clutched her arm as she whimpered in pain.
"He did something else to you didn't he." I said, kneeling to her level.
She shook her head no, but her eyes lit up yes in neon lights. She wouldn't tell me what, but I swear to god if he-
"He beat me to find out where you were. I had to break your portal gun so he wouldn't find out, but he still found you..." she said softly. "I'm sorry. This is all my fault... if I hadn't run away-"
"Kid, if I've learned anything in my lifetime, it's don't take the blame for anything." I smiled. "Just to take a nap and I'll create a healing serum, alright?"
She nodded her head and walked into the living room.
"She's never that obedient for me..." her grandfather said.
"Maybe she's starting to trust me."
"After that stunt you pulled tonight?"
"I wanted to test a theory."
"And did it work?"
"Yup." I chuckled. "More so than I had hoped."
"What's that supposed to mean...?" He asked, now concerned.
"She's smarter than you, possibly even smarter than me bro..." I started laughing. "And you thought she would stay? You honestly believed she wouldn't run away at some point? You had possibly the only person as smart as me, basically hostage in her own home.
"She had two options right now. Stay asleep and heal, or wake up and run." I walked closer to him, placing my finger on his chest. "I know how it must have felt to loose your son and daughter in law, but you can't keep her with you forever."
"Rick, mind your own business and take care of your own goddamn family. If it wasn't for you she wouldn't be hurt. So do me a favor." He said, pushing me back. "Heal her, and get out of both of our lives."
"Fine." I grunted, grabbing a needle out of a box.
I walked over to her sleeping figure, stabbing her arm and injecting the potion into her arm.
"Leave." I said, picking her up and handing her to him.
"Gladly." He said, walking out of the house.
"5...4...3...2..."
"Dad what was that noise?" Beth asked.
"Just invited (Y/N) and her grandfather for a ride in space." I replied, taking a drink out of my flask. "Don't worry about it."
"A-Alright..." she replied.
