Chapter 13: Team Presentation

I can feel the beat of every cold wind that would strike my cheeks. We are now heading the Capitol while riding this quidana, it is a floating transportation powered by a blue light rays and carried by six floating horses with rays beneath their horseshoe.

The atmosphere seems so light and here we are riding filled with silence, until I decided to say a single sentence to break this overflowing muteness between us.

"Tell me again why should I heartily attend this event?" I asked sarcastically and there it was, Yden turned to me and answered.

"Well, I think because it's a priviledge to attend as a participant for the 2nd level of the Battle of Hearts?" She said unsurely.

Well, tingin ko naman oo. Pero nagsawalang kibo nalang ako at muling ibinalik ang paningin ko sa damit na suot ko.

Lahat kami nakasuot ng magagarang damit, long gown yung sa akin at dominante ang kulay na royal blue. Long sleeves but backless. There are also embroidered details on it, and all of us are wearing clothes with the domination of blue like we're bringing down the avalanche from the top of the mountains.

All of us remained silent after Yden gave her sentence, well I think there's no need to make a noise either.

Katabi ko ngayon si Rock habang nasa unahan naman namin sina Yden, Exid at Tania. Nasapangalawang upuan naman si Third at nasapinakauna sila Sir Reve at Sir Relium.

The atmosphere was quite peaceful until Tania changed it to a battle field with all the chaos as she spoke up.

"Let me guess, because Kid Huston will be there too?" I was caught off guard when I heard that from her and a glimps of being shocked was painted on my face and I was aware of that. How did she know about Kid? So does she knows everything?

"So what's with that thing?" I said. But she just striked me a question.

"What's with you and Kid Huston?" Why does she freaking cares? This girl really wants to get trouble with me, but well, I won't back down of course.

"I know you hate me that much, but it's okay I feel the same way." And I glared at her. The hell she cares?

"Do you love him?" And with that sentence of her left me quiet that caused her to smirk. Pero ang napansin ko nang sabihin niya iyon ay ang paggalaw ng isang tao sa unahan na tila ba nabigla rin sa itinanong niya. It was Third. Umayos siya ng upo at tila nakikinig.

The pressure of the atmosphere raises like we're about to explode anytime.

"Oh, why can't you answer?" If only I could kick out her head off, I would really do that!

"And why should I?" I said it with the hint of being pissed. I was about to say another word when someobody did it for me.

"Shut it Tania." It was his word, but it was cold and a threat. It was Rock.

Nakita kong tumaas ang kilay niya at nanggigilait na sa galit. Nang bigla siyang tumayo at tumaas ang kanyang tono.

"Oh, so now you're in to her? Tell me Seathryn what did you feed him?" At sa sinabi niyang iyon ay masnadala pa ako sa inis ko at wala na rin akong balak na pigilan pa ito.

Gustong-gusto niya talaga akong banggain, ha? She's looking at me with her arching brows while crossing her arms. Well, I don't like someone looking down at me.

"I said shut up Tania!" Pero bago pa iyon masabi nang tuluyan ni Rock ay tumayo na ako.

"Rock is already here in front of you, why don't you ask him?"  Nagbabadya na kaming pigilan ni Yden at di na siya mapakali sa upuan niya, pero di parin bumababa ng lebel ang gulo.

Just for what I said, I saw her gritted her teeth and from crossing her arms she put it down while clinching her fists. So, she's angry with that way? Tinignan niya si Rock but he is just staying still.

Muli niyang ibinalik ang tingin sa akin at muli rin akong gumanti.

"And besides, you said that Kid will be there too, so why don't you ask him if what's between us?" Pilit siyang tumawa na para bang naiinsulto at di niya pinapakita. Baliw siya kasi halatang-halata!

The quidana just stopped and we are now here in front of the Capitol not minding the people cheering for us of their recognition.

"A-ah Sath baba na tayo?" Nag-aalangang tanong ni Yden sa akin. Pero di ko siya pinansin at nakatitig parin ako kay Tania, naramdaman ko ring nagland pababa ng ilang inches sa ground ang sasakyan.

"One thing, the cat must chase the mouse; it is not the mouse who will chase the cat." Well, I think she's not that dumb to not understand what did I just say.

And that was my final line and I decided to go down the transportation. Narinig ko pang huminga nang malalim si Sir Reve at Sir Relium bago bumaba.

Isa-isa kong narinig nang maayos ang hiyawan ng mga tao sa gilid ng hagdan na may nakalagay na red carpet. Marami ring gwardya sa paligid.

Almost 30 minutes had passed at nandito na kami sa stage ngayon. Naunang ipinakilala ang mga representatives ng Mellanium at nung oras na iyon, nakita ko siya. Nakita ko ang isa sa pinakaimportanteng tao sa buhay ko.

Mula sa kinatatayuan ko ay bahagya akong lumingon sa gilid kung nasaan ang upuan nila, nakita ko siya. Titig na titig siya sa akin at bakas na bakas sa mga mata niya na may gusto siyang sabihin. Sa sitwasyong ito, parang hinihigit ang buong lakas ko, para akong maiiyak.

"Halika na Seathryn." Bahagya akong hinila ni Yden at umupo na kami sa kabilang mga upuan.

Napahawak nalang ako sa mga tuhod ko, bakit dapat kasali siya? Di niya ba alam na may posibilidad na mamatay siya? Pwede naman siyang umayaw at nangako siya sa akin, na di siya sasali sa Battle of Hearts pero ngayon nandito siya. Nakikita ko na.

Mula sa kinauupuan ko ay bigla akong tumayo at wala sa isip na kumaripas ng takbo papunta sa likuran ng stage.

Para akong pinapatay. Kapag nawala siya sa akin di ko na alam kung ano pang gagawin ko.

Napaupo ako sa gilid nang biglang marinig ko ang  boses na sobra ko nang namimis.

His gentle voice... That sincere eyes and his care, I missed those.

Di ako tumingin sa kanya at nakayuko lang ako habang umaagos na ang luha ko.

"Bakit ka sumali?!"

"Sath..."

"Bakit ka sumali?!" Pero bago ko pa man iyon matapos sabihin ay bigla niya akong hinila kaya napatayo ako.

Bigla niya akong niyakap. Parang huminto ang oras at muling bumalik ang lahat sa dati, nung magkasama pa kami, nung sabay kaming tumatawa at kahit na nakakapikon ako sa init ng ulo ko nag-aadjust siya.

Di parin ako tumitigil sa pag-iyak nang marinig ko siyang bumulong.

"Namimis kita." It was like all the memories turned back when somebody just broke it and pulled me away from him hearing a familiar voice.

"She's mine."
