Chapter 19~

Scarlet POV

"G-Gray?" I asked. He stood still. "There here somewhere..." Natsu said on the other side of the door. "Huh? Their sent disappeared... weird." Natsu said and went back to Lucy. "Whew. Close as clear." Gray whispered and noticed what he did. "I-uh. I'm sorry if I startled you." Gray stuttered. "It's fine we should get going." I suggested as I turned the knob and walked out. "Lets go." I said sneaking off. "I know a short cut getting there faster." I whispered as I lead the way. "You know this castle better than anyone." Gray said surprised. "I know this castle on the back of my hand." I said proudly. "How long have you been here?" Gray asked. "Ever since my parents past away..." I stopped walking. "Queen Layla is actually a relative or as known my aunt. I'd like to keep it a big secret because I don't like people threatening me with it." I continued. "Then why are you telling me this?" Gray asked. "Because I trust you!" I turned around with a smile on my face. "Okay then I promise not to tell anyone your big family secret." Gray swore. "Thank you." I said continued walking. We arrived at the dining hall where everyone was still waiting. Except for Natsu and Lucy. We entered and quickly sat down. A minute later Natsu and Lucy walked in. "Ohayo minna!" Lucy waved. "Cutest couple in Fairy Tail!" I squealed. "E-Eh?!" Natsu and Lucy shouted. "Talk about you and Ice princess over there!" Natsu shouted. "You got a problem with us flamebrain?" Gray got up. "Gray and Scarlet-" Gajeel started. "Shut up!" Gray and I yelled at Gajeel. "Gihi. Fine. Ash brain and bunny girl sitting in a-" Gajeel started once again. "You want to start a fight?!" Natsu yelled rolling up his sleeve. "Wendy! Do you have anyone in interest?" Juvia teased. "W-Wha?!" Wendy blushed beet root red. All of our attention went on Wendy. "Wendy.... hm... ah! Romeo!" I answered. Wendy was even more red. "So it is Romeo!" Lucy smirked. Wendy fainted. "Whoops pushed too hard." Juvia shrugged. "I'll carry her up." I went over to Wendy and picked her up. I got to her room and laid her on the bed. "Wendy... you'll have wonderful children with Romeo." I sighed as I left the room. "Oh! Gray! You startled me! What are you doing here?" I asked. "Hows Wendy?" He asked. "Fine just resting." I replied heading over back to the dining room. We finally finished breakfast and headed back to our room. Luna and Celestia have been awfully quiet for these days. "I went into the kitchen and made breakfast for Wendy since she hasn't woken up. I put the breakfast in the tray and headed over to Wendy's room. I entered the room seeing Wendy just woke up. "Good morning Wendy!" I said walking to her. "Good morning Scarlet-san." Rubbing her eyes. "Here eat this." I put the tray on her lap. "Wow! It's amazing! Did you make it?" Wendy said eating peacefully savoring each bite. "Yeah! I actually did. Heh. I picked the freshest ingredients." I said. "Thank you!" Wendy still eating. "No problem at all. After this freshen up and meet all of us down stairs. We will be having special dragons coming over!" I shouted as I was exiting the room. I walked over to my room to get changed. "Valentina?! How did you get here?!" I screamed. "Mommy!" She shouted running over to me. "Oh I missed you too but you know we are very busy." I said carrying her. I went over to Gray's room and knocked. "Come in!" Gray yelled on the other side. "Look who came for a visit!" I showed Valentina. "Val!" Gray got up and carried Valentina into his arms. "Daddy!" Valentina giggled. I turned around and saw Layla. "Oh hey Aunty." I said. "Heh. Looked like you already have a child." Layla smiled. "Yes is there something wrong?" I asked asked being concerned. "This is perfect I need you to look after another one. Please." Layla begged. "Huh? I know your time is nearly up but why so eagerly?" I asked. "It's actually a newborn." Layla showed us the baby. "Oh. How cute what's her name?" I asked. "Yui." Layla replied. "Of course! I'll be the best mother I can be!" I said. "It's actually your cousin. But please now you are her mother. I've been planning you being her god mother already." Layla explained. "Of course. I don't mind I will be her mother as you request." I replied. "Hey Yui. Your so cute!" I giggled. Yui cooed. "Scarlet what do you mean? Is Queen Layla going to die soon?" Gray asked. "Yeah." I replied. "Oh, then if you din't mind Queen Layla I would love to take care of Yui with Scarlet." Gray proposed. "I would love that. Yui will have both a mother and a father." Layla said proudly. "It's the only thing I can do for now." Gray reasoned. "Can I carry her?" Gray asked. "Sure." I replied as I handed Yui to Gray. "Thank you two so much! You don't know how much this means to me!" Layla cried. "Of course, it's the most we can do for you." Gray still carrying Yui. "Such a happy family. For my final wish is to take care of Lucy and make her happy. Tell her that when she is ready she will take over this realm, also for her not to be upset about my death." Layla advised. "Aunty, I don't think I can comfort her but I know who will." I said honestly. "That's fine then as long as she has someone close to her a comfort to." Layla said calmly. "I'm sure that you must have a meeting with the dragons. Go along you don't want to keep them waiting." I quickly pushed Layla out for her meeting. "Yeah, yeah, they are waiting. Assigning the humans to the dragons." Layla sighed and went to her meeting.
