"I don't see the reason why I have to be here," Reinne said as she sat in front of her father.

Her father owns the three biggest fast food chains in the country. And they are currently at his office at uptown. It has been six years since she last step foot inside her father's office. The cream walls that she chosen, the mahogany table and the DYI cabinets that her mother installed are still placed as is.

"Here," Her father hand her a folder. "I want you to check the kitchens at one of our branch in downtown because we've been receiving complains from our costumers about soiled servings."

"Why not asked one of your personnel to do it? Why me?"

"Because I know you won't be biased," Her father stare at her under his glasses. "You can start the surprise audit now, if you want. Ask Adrian or Cj to accompany you."

Reinne sigh with her father's tone. She left his office while dialing Adrian's number because Cj is somewhere in downtown with Claire and their mother.

"Hello?"

Reinne can hear some screaming in the background.

"Adrian, are you in the *sabongan?"

"Papa asked me to place Thunderstorm in. Yeah! *Isang libo yung pusta ko dyan!"

Thunderstorm is the name of the rooster her father and brother always used to bring in a cock fight. They said he's the lucky chicken.

"Leave the *sabong to Carlos and drive your ass here to papa's office." Every time her father or brother went to that arena, their helper, Carlos would tag along.

Reinne drop the call and head down. She decided to wait for her brother in the lobby. Who know how long it takes to drive here?

"Good morning, Miss Lacson."

She was greeted those who pass by her. She sat by the reception area when she something caught her eye. In a dash, she quickly followed it. She ignored the sudden pain in her stomach because her curiosity ate her more. They can't be here. They are banned from the building. She glance around the drive way and saw three figures she didn't wish to see. All the memories that hunt her came back making the pain unbearable. Reinne place her hand on her stomach and yelled in pain when the pain intensified. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a car drive away, but she ignored it when the pain in her belly won't disappear and the pain tripled in seconds.

"Miss Lacson? Miss Lacson!" Reinne can't hear what the people around her was saying. My baby, she thought before she lost consciousness.

Hayden rushed to the hospital when he heard that Reinne suddenly fainted. He drove at the speed of 100km/hr, way pass the speed limit, but he didn't care. He didn't care if there are a line of patrol cars right after him all that he cares is that Reinne's safe with their baby. He's never been this scared.
