you would probably ace my anatomy exam on thursday, would you please take it for me? because you've lived in my heart long enough to know each ventricle and atrium, each valve and string of muscle. your fingers have traced over the path of my veins so many times i'm sure you could do it with your eyes closed. you've slipped your hand around my body enough times to know each rib and the curve of my diaphragm. held my hand enough to know each knuckle each bone each nerve ending, looked me in the eye enough to memorize each imperfection in my iris.
