"Ugh, I feel like I'm dying."

After a gruelling eighteen minutes of stuffing food into their faces, Shizuka and Madoka successfully finished off the monstrosity that was the Universe Burger and two Milky Way shakes.

As no one had conquered the challenge in a long time, the owner personally came out, shook their hands, and took a photo with them to congratulate their achievement.

Following which, the two of them stopped by a nearby park to rest since they both felt lethargic after forcibly consuming such a large quantity of food.

As they rested, the sky overhead grew darker

As they rested, the sky overhead grew darker.

Looking at Shizuka's wane complexion, Madoka worriedly inquired, "Are you sure you don't want to pick up some indigestion tablets? I'm sure there must be a pharmacy somewhere in the vicinity."

Inside, Madoka lamented over the fact that he wasn't already carrying some on his person. He decided that once he got home, he would pack some assorted tablets into the travel-sized first aid kit he kept in his school bag.

Had Shizuka had heard this, she would've teased him for becoming even more like a mother.

"No, don't bother. I'll be better after lying down at home," said Shizuka wearily. "We can't just pop pills whenever we feel a bit of pain. That's like taking a potion every time you lose a bit of health in game. In cases like these, it's better to bear the aching and build some endurance."

Madoka frowned. "I knew I should've stopped you from having that last bit. It wasn't as if we couldn't cover the tab."

"It wasn't about the money," insisted Shizuka as she clutched her stomach. "It was about the principle. Giving up half-heartedly is not something that I, Yoshino Shizuka, partake in. Besides, we beat the challenge didn't we?"

"Yes, but at what price?"

"At no price, of course." Shizuka flashed him a small victorious smile despite her pain. "The meal was free."

Madoka sighed. "You know that's not what I meant."

"How about you? How are you feeling?"

"I'm alright now."

"Already? Wow, you digested that pretty quickly. I guess growing teenage boys are different," remarked Shizuka enviously.

A few seconds later Shizuka felt herself being pulled downwards towards Madoka's thighs. Realizing his intention Shizuka obediently laid her head across on his lap. Once settled, Shizuka tapped Madoka's leg and adopted a resigned face. "Still as firm as ever I see."

Madoka used his fingers to carefully brush Shizuka's hair away from her face. "Be good and lay still."

Looking up, Shizuka was again amazed at how perfectly balanced Madoka's face was. How is he still good-looking even at this angle? No one should look good when you're staring up their chin!
