MAAZ'S POV:

I got onto the stage when Nani ma called me, I stood right beside her when Javed signaled Areesha to come up, she hesitantly let go of Adil's hand and came to us, Nani ma and Javed got down from the stage and everyone started to cheer, but when I tried to hold her hand, she refused and took a step backwards and shook her head, I was totally taken by her action,

What in the hell she is up to? Does she want more money? Or are there more demands? I should keep her in her limits; she is really proving to be Javed's greedy daughter,

"Areesha!" I said angrily as her actions were making me more furious, first Nani ma made me give her the ring I save for my Areesha and now her drama in front of everyone! Damn!

""I want to say something, before you slip this ring on my finger," she said, I frowned,

"It is not the right time Areesha!" I said, getting more furious because of her act, I looked back at Nani am who was watching us with a worried expression,

"No, it is the right time, if you didn't agree on this I will not wear this ring," she said, trying to be confident in front of me, I glared at her, "What is it?" I asked, in a low tone,

"I want you to give me permission to keep Adil with me after this marriage," she said, and I just huffed with annoyance, "Not again!" I hissed,

"Yes or No?" she asked,

"Look Nani ma is getting worried, it is not the right time to discuss this," I said, trying to calm my nerves. However, this woman in front of me was not helping me with it,

"No, it is the right time! Just tell me yes or no?" she asked again,

I glared at her for some time and that is when something came into my mind,

"Okay, fine, he can stay with us," I said through gritted teeth, "You promise?" she asked, "Yes, you have my word!" I replied smiling in my heart

Oh, silly woman, you do not know what it is about to come, you will regret doing this! I thought and hold her hand in mine and slip the ring on her delicate finger. Everyone cheered and the spotlight flashed through us, I looked at her, she was smiling looking at Adil, I smirk looking at her, how innocent she is! I thought and helped her come down from the stage, when Nani ma come to us and kissed both of us on our forehead, blessing us with her dua.

"So, Atlast this man is taken now," Alizeh, said coming to us, making me roll my eyes at her. Nani ma left to meet other guests leaving me alone with Areesha, when Alizeh got a call; she got busy talking on her phone. I glanced around myself when I heard Haya's voice,

"Maazzz!!!! Congratulations!" I heard her coming from my side and gave me a quick hug, I wrapped my arm around her waist and smiled, she was one of the woman I adored, she was totally different from other girls and that was the reason, she was my best friend, she asked me about my girlfriends from the past making me laugh at the thought of those silly women,

"At last I met the one and only girl who is going to tame our stallion after a long time! You don't know Areesha, how hard it is to be with Maaz, his mood swings are really hard to bear, but he is really a good friend," Haya said, to Areesha who was just looking at me, she passed a smile in response, "Oh, I am sorry, I forget to introduce myself, I was just so excited to meet you, Maaz is so secretive! He never told us about you, well, I am Haya, very good friend of Maaz, since college," Haya introduced herself to her, but Areesha did not respond the way should have, she was acting so cold towards Haya, which was enlightening my anger once again, how dare she is treating my friend like that! Haya invited me to her wedding and made me promise to come with Areesha, unwillingly, I promised.
