Betty didn't sleep that night. So much was going on in her life that she couldn't control. She had so many questions but no one to supply her with the answers. What was she going to do about Polly? How could she help her support her unborn child? What was her father hiding? Could he truly be capable of murder?

The sun peered out from the corner of sky shining brightly in her eyes. It was late when she went to bed and its early when she has woke up she reached for her phone from her bed side table. A text from Him. Jughead. The other reason she didn't get any sleep. But that was a reason she was okay with. He asked her to meet him at Pops at seven when it opened . It was 6:30.

She clambered together what was an acceptable outfit, brushed on  some light make-up and was ready by 6:45. It was only a five minute walk from her house to Pops. She was so anxious. What did he want to talk about? What happened last night? With her Dad? With Polly? between them? Or is he the type of guy who just plays it off, pretending nothing ever happened? Her nerves got the better of her. It started with the twitching of her leg, then pacing back and forth from one corner of her room to another. It ended with her walking out of the front door by 6:48. A slow walk down the drive revealed her parents car gone. Early morning and late nights at work, all to avoid her. Their perfect daughter, who just may have a dark side. The sun had vanished behind dark cloud. She could tell snow was about to fall, it was the beginning of October and they were overdue for the small cold flakes she loved so much. She took the long route , to avoid being the first to arrive at the 1950's themed diner. The staple of their town. She passed the school, Marci's corner shop boarded up the same way it has been for years since it went out of business and then passed Veronica's pent house. She didn't realise just how much she wanted to tell her everything that had gone on. Especially between herself and Jughead, she hasn't had any one to really talk to about it and she wanted to so bad. she wanted to show him off, he was hers and she couldn't of been happier. Alas she can't, because neither of them have started the conversation to discuss what they are, if they even are a "they". Mabey that's what today was. The day they define themselves as a couple. She crossed the corner into the carpark of the diner. It was 7:03 and she could see him. Out of the corner of her eye she could see that adorable grey beanie he never took off. She could stare at him all day... But she cant they have work to do. She pulled her pony tail tighter allowing the tips of her blond hair to bounce on her neck. She was ready.

The bell rung as she opened the door. He glanced up. A huge small appeared on his face when she walked into his vision without him even realising it the harder he tried to stop the more prominent it became. With her came the reminder of what happened last night. What he had been desiring to do to her all month , but that wasn't all he wanted to do with her. Over the months of working together his feelings for her had developed progressively , one night he couldn't hold them back any more and he kissed her. To his surprise she kissed back. With passion. He'd savoured that kiss and last nights . He couldn't get her out of his head. He couldn't write, he couldn't sleep without knowing where they stand. Hope fully together because there was a lot more he wanted them to do together. Betty made her way over to the dark booth far at the back where no one could hear what they were talking about.

Betty sat in the seat opposite Jughead very aware and conscious as she could feel him watching her every move. When she looked up  she saw a tall thin glass with a chocolate concoction inside with  a large mound of whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top. In front of him was a similar milkshake yet with a cherry on top. She felt this symbolised something she didn't want to say aloud.

"Your favourite right?" He asked with a dopey grin on his face .

"You remembered!" Betty exclaimed feeling her heart fill with admiration.

"How could I forget ..." He said looking deep into her eyes. She gazed back, holding the stare . She felt like an idiot but she couldn't help it. Eventually she dropped her gaze and began to fiddle with her milkshake straw.

"Listen Betty... I think its time we talked ... about every thing."

Betty nodded not lifting her gaze. She felt a thumb pushing her chin up gently -like he was scared she would break. Forcing her gaze to reach his.

"Including what happened last night..."
