Darling

Oh, darling
The name fits you well
Don't you hear me calling
Oh can't you tell
That you soft skin
Feels like sin
So right and so wrong
It hasn't been long
Since last we departed
But since, my heart has hardened
What is it about you
That brought you to
Resurrecting a dead man
Holding my hand
Sweet darling
My heart is hollering
Dreams of closeness
You should know this
That when, darling, I call you
You don't need to question who
Because my tired coyness
Will not be pointless
Because it will melt your pure heart
It may not be smart
For such impurity to love such purity
But it's the cleanest my heart has felt
Your eyes can melt
My frozen soul
And you'll fill the hole
Come upon the midnight horizon
Wash over me like the ocean waves
Be the gentle morning sun
The sunlight rays will pave
Pave the path to my safety
Though you sit behind a cloud
Your light shines through
You should be proud
I hope mine does too.

Sweet darling
Thank you
