You are the feeling of going to the diner at the lake
Nothing about your love is fake
I wish I could take
you
You are the feeling of the ringing drive thru bell
One more sell
Cannot tell
How it feels
Orange peels
I can't quite explain
this feeling I proclaim
which was brought to personal fame
You, are the physical embodiment of the diner aesthetic
the feeling so prophetic
but sometimes
as I drive between the lines
I remember that I wont ever get to share milkshake memories with you
you say that too
So as I sit within the confines of the human lines
I sit and watch the sun set through the pines
reflective signs
strawberry cream within a dream
Within, you will be there
with no care
you step with grace
angelic face
tight shoelace
but this is only but a dream
of orange cream
with which it seems
like a reality
but it will never be
something I will see
So I will stick to my tea
I hold my key
all that must be done
is for you, hun
to take it
do not fake it
because I want those milkshake dream
to become milkshake memories
