Too Much

I say I love you
You say it's too much
My mind wanders around the northern star
But you say not to go far
I'm sorry
I apologize
For imagining
As I'm left scavenging
For hope
But I'm so sorry
That I mention it
But it's too much, I'm in the pit
Censor the thoughts and happiness
And hopefully I won't miss
Your gentle kiss
But it's still too much
And soon enough
It will all be
Can't you see
That I just wanted to be
The things you told me not to think about
Not to talk about
So now I fear
The things I hear
Within my mind
That once were lined
With loving intent, and future time spent
Trying
But I am sorry
That all I say
Is just such
Too much
