The First Creations

It was another late night at InGen labs Y/n was busy finishing some paperwork. She glances up at the clock on the wall, which read three o'clock in the morning. "Another late night," she mumbles to herself as she stifles a yawn. "Bad enough as it is they are making me finish my paperwork at this time of night." Y/n gets up from her chair and walks out of her office and down to the break room to fix herself another cup of tea. When she gets there, there was no tea left so she resorts to making a fresh pot of coffee. "Late night plus a cup of coffee equals no sleep til eight this morning." She pulls a coffee filter out of the cupboard and empties the filter basket of the coffee pot and rinses it out in the sink. She puts the filter in the basket. "Now to find the coffee..." Y/n rummages around in the cupboard again to look for some coffee.

"Another late night, Y/n?" Asks a voice from the break room doorway. Y/n turned to see who the source of the voice came from and sees it was one of her co-workers, a young man named Issac. He had shoulder length blond hair and a slight stubble of a beard on his face. He had blue colored eyes. His body structure was a bit on the skinny side, almost like a well-toned skinny. He was wearing a navy blue t-shirt and tan colored jeans. "You okay?" Issac asks.

"Not really. I'm very tired. Got stuck working on paperwork again for the third time this week." She looks back into one of the cupboards. "Do you have an idea where the coffee is? There's no tea left and I need something to keep myself awake until I'm done," said Y/n as she looks in another cupboard for the elusive coffee.

"Not much of a clue really. Last I had seen it was this morning when the rest of us where in here eating breakfast." Issac walks over to Y/n and takes the coffee filter from her. "You need to go home and get some rest."

"I know but I need to finish my paperwork before Henry Wu comes to collect it when the labs open." Y/n eventually finds the coffee, Folger's Coffee to be in fact. She takes the coffee filter back from Issac. "Let me have my coffee so I can finish my paperwork and go home!" She snaps. She puts the filter in the filter basket. She puts two scoops of coffee in the filter before putting it back into the coffee pot. She fills up the water chamber of the coffee pot. "So you working late tonight too, Issac?"

"Yeah. Getting the new exhibits ready for the new dinosaurs. I heard that the labs are getting some new dinosaurs. Hopefully not another hybrid like the Indominus Rex. But you'll never know with InGen though," said Issac with a laugh. He watches Y/n for a bit. "So when's the next day off for you? I was wondering if you want to go hang out, maybe go out for a bite to eat?"

"Not sure when really. I'll have to check my schedule when I get home," she yawns. "But I'll let you know when I come back in the afternoon later today." Y/n turns on the coffee pot. "Why do you want to spend time with me, Issac? We both only been here for about six months."

"I just feel that it would be better to get to know each other outside of work," said Issac. He looks at Y/n again. She had long h/c that was tied back into a ponytail. She had e/c that he thought were pretty even though he wouldn't admit it out loud. She was a bit short for her age about 5" 4'. He didn't care. He thought that she was fine as she was.

The rest of the time while the coffee pot making the coffee was spent in silence. Y/n returns to her office after she fixed herself a cup of coffee.

It was about six-thirty in the morning by the time Y/n gets home. Her house was on the other side of the island which InGen labs was on, Isla Sorna. After InGen had built a safer area for it's resident scientists to live so that they could be closer to to work.  Y/n thought of it as more of an inconvenience for her. Being closer to her work meant she got called in at odd hours of the night. But InGen provided her with her own Jeep so that way she can get to work quickly. Y/n walks up to her front door and sees a note tapped to the door. "What the..." She takes the note off off the door and reads it:
   Greetings Y/n. Just wanted to let you know you will be taking part in a new project that InGen has to offer. You will be participating in a new hands on program where you will be taking care of some of our new dinosaurs. A few of the InGen scientists have already been by your house and set up an incubator in one of the extra rooms in your home. Everything has been put in place. I expect to see reports on your progress on the care of the new dinosaur hatchlings. Best of luck, Henry Wu.

Y/n crumples the note into a ball and tosses it into the bushes. "Off all the rotten luck! I get stuck with more work and now even more paper work!!"  She heads inside and looks around the house to find which room as to where the incubator was set up. Lucky it was on the bottom floor of her house. The unlucky part was that it was in what used to be the empty room next to the kitchen. She walks into the room and starts to hear scratching sounds coming from the incubator. After pressing a few keys on the keyboard, the lid of the incubator opens up revealing five eggs, one of which was shaking. "Seems Henry forgot to mention how close the eggs are to hatching," Y/n says to herself as she watches the egg. She didn't have much longer to wait until a small head emerges from some cracks in the egg shell. Y/n leans forward to get a closer looks, against her better judgement, to see what kind of dinosaur she was going to be dealing with. She could see black coloring mixed with neon green and neon yellow, mixed with dark and light blue. Y/n has found herself nose to nose with the Alpha Raptor, a first in line to a new line of dinosaur hybrids....Chaos Effect...
