Snowed In (Part 2)

It was very cold outside. It was still cold by the time Y/n and the others were bundled up in snow gear so they could clear away the debris from the blizzard from the night before. Frequent breaks were needed considering how cold it was outside. It was negative nineteen degrees Fahrenheit outside the last time Y/n had Ultima check the temp. After what had seemed like hours, majority of the debris was cleared from the drive-way.

*Ultima's POV*

Ultima was busy clearing some branches when he suddenly freezes in place. Something didnt seem right. He looks around at his surroundings and smells the air. "Is something wrong, Ultima?" Y/n asks when she noticed his strange behavior. Ultima checks the tree line close to the drive-way. "Is there any big predatory animals living in this area? Ultima asks.

"There is a Grey wolf pack that does live in the area but they usually keep their distance from the house. Plus there are at least a few American Black Bear dens in the area as well," said Y/n. Ultima continues to look at the tree line and starts to growl. He walks towards the tree line, smelling the air again.

"Its neither a wolf or a bear. In fact there is no animal." Ultima could sense something was going to happen. He just couldn't tell what it was. He continues to stare at the trees. He was about to step away when....

CRACK!!!!

Ultima grabs Y/n by her shirt. "You need to move. NOW!!!" He picks her up off the ground and throws her towards the house. He takes off running toward the house as well. Vincent and the others looks towards Ultima as he was making a mad dash towards the house. A creaking and groaning sound was clearly audible in the air. "Get inside now!!" Ultima yells as the groaning sound gets louder as one of the trees close to the drive-way starts to sway forward. The groaning sound gets louder as the tree starts to fall forward. Once everyone had safely got to the front door of the house, the tree crashes into the ground with a loud crash, causing the ground to shake. Luckily no one had gotten hurt.

*Y/n's POV*

Y/n was surprised that Ultima had thrown her out of the way of the falling tree. She was hurt but as far as she can tell, she wasn't too hurt. "Ultima..." She was worried. She gets up from the ground. "Ultima?" It just dawns on her that he could have hurt himself. "Ultima!" Y/n screams. She runs over to where the tree had fallen, ignoring the fact that another tree could fall. She was more worried about Ultima. "Ultima!" The tree had made a slight crater in the ground. Y/n struggles to climb over the tree, trying to see if Ultima is okay. She sighs with relief when she sees Ultima was on the ground, laying on his stomach. She jumps down next to him. At first glance he looked okay but considering what he did to get Y/n out of harm's way, there was a chance he was hurt or worse. "Atlas get over here and help me get Ultima into the house!"

"What the..." Atlas jumps over the fallen tree. He looks over to where Ultima was laying on the ground to where Y/n was thrown to by the house. "Somethings not right. How did he..." Atlas lifts Ultima off of the ground. "Still not...." He sniffs the air. "We need to get him in now!"

Y/n helps Atlas rush Ultima into the house and carry him upstairs to the bedroom that Ultima shared with Vincent. Atlas lays Ultima down on his bed. Y/n  feels around Ultima, checking for broken bones and any bruising. "Nothing seems to be broken. What do you mean something isn't right, Atlas?" Y/n asks. "I'm surprised you can't smell it," said Atlas. Right as Atlas was about to pull Ultima's shirt up to show Y/n what he meant, Ultima's eyes snap open and he grabs Atlas' hand. Both Atlas and Y/n jump because of Ultima's sudden movement. A deep growl resonates from Ultima's throat, causing Atlas to tense up. Y/n starts to worry that both Atlas and Ultima would start a fight. After what seems like an eternity,  Ultima let's go of Atlas and closes his eyes and soft breathing could be heard. "For a second I thought he was going to turn back to his dinosaur state," said Y/n.

"We need to see what happens and act accordingly. Last thing we need is an Ultimasaurus going on a rampage in the state of Minnesota. Not exactly sure on how the locals will react to the whole situation," said Atlas with a weak laugh. He didn't admit it, but he was scared of that possible outcome.
