New Cell Mates

*Y/n's POV*

Y/n had absolutely no idea where she was. All she knew was that she was in an underground lab someone in the United States somewhere. After what felt like forever being lead though white hallways lined with grey doors, her and her armed escorts finally stop at one of the grey doors. One of the guards pulls out a set of keys and unlocks the door. The door opens up to a set of stairs heading down. The guard nudges Y/n forward with his tranq rifle. Y/n heads down the stairs, unbeknownst to her, that InGen has been very busy since then last time she has worked for them. After reaching the bottom of the stairs, she sees a hallway lined with doors. She counted ten doors, five on each side of the hallway, before she was nudged forward by the guard again. She continues down the hallway. After reaching the twentieth door, the guard stops Y/n and turns her towards a door on the right hand side of the hallway.

"Lights out is at ten o'clock at night. Talking at that time will be kept at a minimum. Wake-up call is at six. You will have five minutes to get out of bed before you will be forcibly dragged out of bed. Just because Henry Wu wanted you alive, doesn't mean you will get special treatment." The guard then takes off Y/n's handcuffs and shoves her through the door. "Also you will be sharing your cell with two others. I expect you guys to get along. You try hurt anyone in anyway...there will be consequences." The guard closes the door behind Y/n, the lock clicking back into place as he locks the door.

Y/n looks around the room she is now locked in. For a cell it was rather spacous. It had two beds, a desk in the corner with a small lamp sitting on top of it. She opens a door off to the side and discovers a rather spacous bathroom as well, complete with a full walk-in shower and a rather large bathtub that was large enough to fit a medium-sized dinosaur. With her curiosity getting the better of her, Y/n walks over to the bath and looks in. It was already filled with water. On closer inspection, the bathtub was actually a small heated pool. Soon enough the waters surface begins to ripple. A dinosaur rises out of the water and Y/n finds herself nose to snout with an Indoraptor. "Well fuck my life," said Y/n as she  slowly backs away. She watches the Indoraptor climb out of the pool.

"Ahh you must be my new roomate. Or should I say new cellmate," said the Indoraptor in a slight British accent.

Y/n stares in pure disbelief at the Indoraptor. "How in the hell can you talk?!" She quickly covers her mouth over her sudden outburst.

"You can thank Project Prometheus. I was one of the failed experiments. Instead of turning human, I just gained the ability to talk. Plus I was supposed to be a better version of what I am considering the first of my kind was still a prototype. "

"But what's with the accent?"

"Long story. By the way my name is Cain." The Indoraptor holds out a claw.

Y/n just stares at the Indoraptor, who just introduced himself as Cain, in disbelief still. She finally gives his claw a shake. "This is really weird. I didn't expect to run into...I'm sorry. I mean meet a talking hybrid. If you dont mind me asking, what kind of hybrid are you?" Y/n asks.

"I am an Indoraptor. A hybrid crossed with genetics from the Indominus Rex and a Velociraptor. But I believed InGen tweaked with my genetic make-up a bit though. How about we go sit down and get comfortable so we can talk more. Ladies first," said Cain as he gestures to the bathroom door.

Y/n leaves the bathroom and goes to sit down on one of the beds. "How long have you been alive, Cain?"

Cain comes through the bathroom door and lays down on the floor in front of Y/n. "Since the start of Project Prometheus. Which wasn't very long ago. But I have heard of you. Tell me what brings you here. I want to hear it in your own words."

Y/n pulls out her phone, it reads no signal on the screen. "At least they are smart enough to make it I can't call for help." She unlocks her phone and opens up the app that has her pictures. "I think I'll sit on the floor near you so you can see my kids." She gets off the bed and sits down by Cain's side. She leans back against him, moisture still on his scales from the heated pool. She shows Cain the pictures of the hybrids of when they were hatchlings and the ones as they were growing up. She showed them what they looked like now, as humans.

"So Project Prometheus was a success for them. Was it painful for them?" Cain asks.

"Tidus described the pain like getting bitten by the Omega Rex. My fiance, Issac, went back to their paddocks and found sloughed off patches of skin. Said it was like like their reptialian skin tore off their bodies," said Y/n.

"Guess you should call them the lucky ones. I've seen others from Project Prometheus, here at the labs, and they are not as lucky. They kinda got stuck. Felt bad for one of them since they usually feed the rejects to me. The one I felt bad for ended up having a heart attack before I could do anything." Cain turns his attention to the cell door. "Seems the other guy is getting back. Don't worry he is actually pretty nice compared to the rest of us locked up in here."

The cell door opens and a young man gets shoved though. "Always the rough treatment," he mumbles under his breath as he dusts himself off. He looks up and sees Y/n leaning back against Cain. "So she the new roomate, eh Cain?" He walk over to Y/n and holds out his hand to her. "Names Nick. Nice to meet ya."

Y/n leans forward to shake Nick's hand. "So what's up with you, Nick?" Y/n asks.

"Been injected with dinosaur DNA for six months. So you can say I am half dinosaur but I myself am not entirely sure what was thrown into the mix. All I know about what changed about myself is that I can see really well in the dark and I have better strength than most humans. Now what's your name, miss?" Nick asks Y/n.

"My name is Y/n. Just got here a little bit ago," said Y/n.

"Not really sure what to tell you, Y/n. This place may seem nice but it's more like a deathtrap. If you are lucky, the scientists will just inject this weird stuff into you, hoping to turn you into a human-dinosaur hybrid. I think that...."

"Nick shut up for ones in your damn life!" Cain snaps. He glances over at Y/n. "Did you say your name was Y/n?"

"Oh sweet merciful..." Cain mumbles. "Those guards that were outside our door early this morning were talking about her, remember Nick?"

"I think..." Sudden realization hits Nick. "She might not be one of the lucky ones."

"What do you mean?" Y/n asks.

"The guards were talking about what is going to be done with you. You'll be kept alive...." Cain didn't know how to say it. After about five minutes of silence, he speaks again. "The scientists plan on using you for a new project. To birth a human-dinosaur hybrid, that will not die within the first month of its life. To usher in a new area of weaponized hybrids that can blend into human society," said Cain.

Y/n couldn't believe what she had heard. "Your lying!" She snaps, she was to the point of tears.

Cain shakes his head. "You'd be surprised about what the guards talk about around here. Better hope they get the DNA mixture right or you could die during childbirth." Cain rests his head onto his front claws.

It was at that point that Y/n knew she was screwed. "Issac better come save me soon," she thinks to herself.
