Project Hybrid: File #2 Ultimssaurus

*Zack's POV*

Zack puts in the second DVD into the disk drive after taking out the first one. This one was labeled 'Project Hybrid: File # 2 Ultimasaurus, a.k.a. Ultima'. Zack couldn't help but laugh and shake his head at the choice of names that Y/n had given the hybrids. He closes the disk drive and once again waits for another DVD  to start playing. It takes a few minutes, but the DVD does eventually play.

The image comes in blurry. After a few seconds, Y/n is finally able to get the image to adjust. "The Ultimasaurus had just hatch and it is..." Y/n glances off camera, "It is thirty minutes after midnight. It's been over a week since Tidus has hatched." Y/n turns the camera towards the newly hatched Ultimasaurus. It was still covered with bits of eggshell and egg yolk. It tilts its head to the side as it studies the camera. It struggles a bit to finally get out of what was left of the egg. It makes a thrilling sound as it looks at its reflection in the lens of the camera before turning its attention to the camera. The Ultimasaurus screeches, indicating that it was hungry. "Guess it's time to eat then," laughs Y/n out of the game of the camera. The free cuts off.

Once again the feed from the camera was blurry and quickly comes into focus, showing a forest. Y/n had the camera pointed at herself. "Here soon I am going to ask Henry Wu to give me a GoPro camera. Been getting cramps in my wrist from holding this thing." A growling catches her attention. She points the camera behind her and sees Ultima running after her. "Come on! I know you can catch up!" She points the camera back to herself. "Just got a blood test back earlier today and found that the Ultimasaurus is male. Meaning I am going to have to deal with another rebellious dinosaur." She laughs and nearly falls, dropping the camera. A worried growl was heard followed by a sniffing sound. Dust was being kicked up around the camera while Ultima tries to figure out what it was. The camera gets jostled around a bit before a pair of long black claws come into view at Ultima manages to pick up the camera with some difficulty. Even though it was at an angle, a confused look was shown on Y/n's face before she takes the camera from Ultima. "Thank you for picking it up for me, Ultima." The camera feed cuts off again.

Zack pauses the DVD to consider what he had seen. He was a bit confused as well considering the behavior of the young Ultimasaurus that was just shown. "Looks like imprinting right when the hybrids had hatched has an unexpected result," Zack tells himself outloud. He unpauses the DVD and resumes watching it.

The image is once again blurry but this time it slowly comes back into focus. The camera movement was slightly shaky since from the view it was giving, it was clearly sitting on the dashboard of a jeep. "Finally got a GoPro after about a few weeks. Not happy right now since the workers here at InGen are dragging their feet trying to finish the paddocks for the hybrids. Ultima has had two growth spurts since he had hatched over a month ago and he now towers over my house." Y/n laughs. "Most likely he is using the drive-qay to sun himself since it's still early in the day." The camera movement continues to be shaky until Y/n drives up to her house. Sure enough Ultima was laying on the driveway. Y/n stops the jeep and turns it off. She takes the GoPro and walks over to Ultima. She pats him on his leg. "Come on sleepy head time to wake up and go hunt." Ultima yawns, revealing rows of sharp teeth. He slowly gets up and stretches, then stands up to his full height. He lowers his head down to look Y/n in her eyes at her level. "Ready to go hunt? Or do you still need to wake up a bit?" Y/n asks. Ultima licks Y/n, causing her to squeal in surprise. "Aww gross," she laughs. "Go hunt. When you get back, we can go for a walk if you want." Ultima nuzzles Y/n before he leaves the area, being careful not to step on her or her jeep.

Zack watches the rest of the DVD. He wasn't entirely sure what to make of what he had learned so far but he was sure it would be more interesting by the time he got to Jade's file.
