Bad News (Part 1)

*Ultima's POV*

Ultima storms up the stairs to Abercrombie and Fitch, highly agitated over the fact that someone had called Jade a chicken. His eyes locks onto Zack who was just about to clock out for the end of his shift. "Hey!" Ultima yells, causing Zack to jump. "Are you the guy that called my sister a chicken?!"

"What's it to you? She didn't..." Zack barely had enough time to react before Ultima picks him up off of the floor by grabbing his shirt and slams him up against the wall. "Dude what the hell?!" Zack tries to loosen Ultima's grip.

"You called Jade chicken! I'm going to rip you apart for that!"

Atlas rushed to Ultima and tries to get him to let go of Zack. "You need to relax. I'm sure...he didn't mean it, Ultima." Atlas continues to struggle to loosen Ultima's  grip. He looks back at Jade. "Go get the manager before this escalates too far out of hand." Jade disappears to go find the store manager. He turns his attention back to Ultima. "Ultima put the poor kid down. We need to handle this normally or we risk getting found out what we truly are. You don't want to head back to the island because of the fact you decided to take your anger out on one human, am I right?"

Ultima takes a deep breath. He looks Zack dead in the eye again before letting him go. "You do you have a point there. If we need to get technical, no one of us want to go back to the island," said Ultima. He looks back at Zack. "Did you call my sister a chicken when she was shopping in here earlier?"

"Who's your sister? I have no idea who you are talking about," said Zack with a smirk, trying to feign the fact he knew who Ultima was talking about.

A few minutes later, Jade comes back with the manager of Abercrombie and Fitch. She and the others leave the store so the manager could talk about the situation with Zack. Unbeknownst to Zack, the security were both audio and video feed, so when Jade told the manager about the situation, all the manager had to do was pull up the security footage and see what had actually happened.

*Y/n's POV*

Y/n and Issac just arrived at the mall. They head to the food court to wait for the others. "So you think that they stayed out of trouble, Issac?" Y/n asks.

"Not really. Most likely Ultima 'Hulked out'," said Issac, using air quotes. He couldn't help but laugh at his joke. Y/n laughs as well. "But what most likely what happens is that Ultima, Atlas, as well as Vincent had some girls try to ask them out."

"That is a possibility. Even though it would be best that if they don't get with anyone. Who knows what would happen if their hybrid DNA mixed with human DNA, creating offspring." Y/n's face pales at the thought if that ever happened.

"But it could happen. Or best case scenario, they could be infertile. So even if they do get with someone, there's a chance they can't have kids. Last thing we need is some kids with Ultima's temperament." Issac looks towards the escalators and sees Ultima and the others on their way down. "Something happened. They should have been done by now."

"So mind telling me what happened that made it so you guys were not waiting in the food court?" Y/n asks.

"We almost had an incident with Ultima. One of the mall employees who works at Abercrombie and Fitch called Jade a chicken for turning down his offer to go on a date with him. Jade told Ultima what had happened and Ultima nearly went crazy with anger," said Vincent.

"And where is this employee who called Jade a chicken?" Y/n wanted to know who it was so she could talk to him as well.

"He's done talking with his manager by now. Most likely he should be outside since the manager told him to apologize to Jade," said Atlas.

"Then let's go. We need to head home anyways. My mom will have dinner ready for us by the time we get home." Y/n heads towards the doors and the others follow. "So did you guys have a good time at the mall?"

"We did," said Jade. "Even though..." Jade turns her attention to someone who was just walking out the doors and sees that it was Zack. "Did you come to apologize?"

"Yeah plus if I didn't, my manager would have suspended me from work for two weeks," said Zack. "Look I'm sorry for calling you chicken. It was uncalled for. It was rash for the way I had acted towards you without even thinking of the consequences of what could happen." He quickly looks at Ultima and then back to Jade. "Plus I didn't want to evoke the wrath of your brother. He scares the live hell out of me."

Jade laughs. "Ultima can be scary but he's a nice guy once you get to know him," said Jade.

*Zack's POV*

"So since you've accepted my apology, would you like to go on a date with me, Jade?"

"Not a good idea on that plan," said Y/n as she walks up to Zack. "Its ill advised that you don't even bother with going on a date with her." Jade hears what Zack said and blushes.

"Why the hell not?! I have every right to ask someone as pretty as her out on a date!" Zack snaps.

"Listen to reason, kid. You have no idea what you'll be getting yourself into," said Issac.

"Hate to say this but you are the most stubborn one," said Y/n.

"Why are you guys so damn intent on making me walk away from an opportunity to take her on a date?" Zack asks.

"It would be best if you would come with us to figure out why. We really can't talk about it here," said Y/n.

Four hours later, Zack arrives at the cabin where Y/n and the others were staying til after Christmas. He had to ride in Issac's car since wasn't enough room in Y/n's car since Ultima, Atlas, and Vincent were riding in her car. "This is where you guys are staying? Zack looks out the car window, awestruck at the cabin.

"Pretty much. Better living on an island," said Tidus before he gets out of the car.

Zack gets out of the car. "What do you mean?"

"I'll explain everything once we are all inside. But what I am going to tell you, will be hard to believe," said Y/n. She heads inside and was greeted by her mom. Y/n briefly explains what happened at the mall as well as to why Zach was here. She has Zach sit down in one of the recliners once he was inside.

Zach looks around the living room. "This place is incredible. But I know for a fact that I am not here to enjoy the sights."

Y/n hands Zack a laptop and two DVDs. "You are to watch everything on those two DVDs to learn what Jade is as well as the others." She sits down across from Zach. "If you have questions, ask away." Y/n knew it was going to be a very long night.
