All Together Now (Part 3)

*Issac's POV*

"Any last words?" Issac asks James as he takes aim with his pulse rifle.

"You were nothing more than a fool coming here. But your girlfriend is even more of a fool being a part of the riot that was started by that thing...." James points to the Indoraptor that was busy fighting a wounded Omega Rex. He coughs up some blood and laughs.

Issac was already getting pretty mad. He puts his finger to the trigger of the pulse rifle. "Before I kill you, tell me where Y/n is and I'll give you a quick death."

James shrugs his shoulders and starts laughing again. "Last I had seen her, she was being chased by the Thrasher Rex."

"I'm done talking to a nut job like you," said Issac. He points the pulse rifle where he thought James' heart would be and pulls the triggger. A look of shock appears on James's face as he realized he had just been shot.

"You..a..."

Issac watches the life force drain from James' face. "That one less crazy InGen scientist we need in this world." Issac steps through the maze of cages to look for Y/n. He knew he was running out of time being chased, by what James called, a Omega Rex.

*Y/n's POV*

Y/n looked around, finding herself in another place. Last thing she remembered was that she was fighting the Thrasher Rex, right before she charged at her, swinging her head into Y/n, knocking her into a wall. Y/n looks around at the scenery again, finding it strange that she was at a camp ground in Yellowstone National Park she used to go to when she was a kid. "This is weird. I know I am dreaming. Am I dead?"

"Almost I should say," said a voice.

Y/n turns to the source of the voice, only to discover her dad standing behind her. "Dad?" Y/n manages to choke out without crying. An older gentlemen was standing before her, wearing blue Jean's and a grey t-shirt. He had long grey hair and a short trimmed beard. He had brown eyes that shown all the love in the world for his daughter.

"Good to see you again, Y/n," said Y/n's father, Aden, with a warm smile.

"So where am I?"

"You could call this place Limbo, since you are neither dead or alive. More like you are unconscious for the time being."

Y/n looks around at the campground. "So this place, this Limbo, is just a part of my imagination."

"It depends on what you believe Limbo to look like. It could be a vast open plain or a really long line to use the elevator. But in your case, this is your Limbo. Surprising you remember quite a bit of detail about this place. Come let's go sit down. We have a lot to talk about until you wake up." Aiden leads Y/n to one of the park benches beneath a large pine tree. He sits down and Y/n sits down next next to him. "I'm surprised you got as far as you did."

"What ymdo you mean?" Y/n asks.

"You started working for InGen only to end up turning against them. I do t blame you. Once they started experimenting with humans, is where the line was drawn. Because of what they did to you when you first started to work for them and what the did to you while in their custody, is inhumane." Aiden turns to look at his daughter. "You had every right to go against them."

"Your not telling me something, aren't you?"

"You and Issac did manage to conceive a child. But because of the injections that mad scientist gave you, she will have some saurian features. Her eyes will be different. But she will not be able to change into the hybrid that InGen wanted her to be at will or against her will. What they wanted, she will not give them."

"What do you mean, dad?" Y/n asks her father with a confused look in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, Y/n. I'm not allowed to tell you anymore," said Aiden. For what seems like ages, Aiden and his daughter talk for quite a while. She tells him what had happened in her life since his passing. As for him, he could only provide snippets of information about what it was like to live in the afterlife. When she asked why he avoided her questions, all he answered was 'Its not your time to know.'

Y/n....

"Did you say something, dad?'

Aiden shakes his head. "Seems like you don't have much time left here in Limbo. Issac is waiting for you back on the other side."

Y/n!!!

Y/n looks down at her hands, seeing them start to look transparent. She looks back up at her father. "I guess this is goodbye then," said Y/n

"I guess so. I'll see you again when your time comes. When you see your mother again, tell her I love her," said Aiden as he watches Y/n fade away.

Y/n begins to fade even more, watching her surroundings fade from existence. Everything turns dark. Even the pitch darkness, there was a sound that was becoming more audible. A constant and steady beeping. Everything becomes more into focus when Y/n was finally able to open her eyes. When her vision finally comes into focus, the first person she sees is Issac. Never in her life has she been so happy to see him. "Issac...."

Issac looks over from his chair next to the hospital bed. "I was wondering when you would wake up. You've been out for a couple of days." He gets out of the chair and kisses Y/n on her forehead. "I know you are wondering why you are in the hospital."

"So what happened while I was out?"

"After I killed James, I went to look for you. When I finally found you, the Thrasher Rex had you cornered. She charged you and had swinged her head into you, knocking you into the wall. Which knocked you out, which is why you have bandages wrapped around your head. But anyways, here comes the crazy part. Right when you were knocked out, everyone came running. Vincent, Ultima, Atlas, Jade and even Tidus to defeat the Thrasher Rex. Even that strange hybrid dinosaur...."

"You mean Cain? He's an Indoraptor. Did he make it? What about Nick? Is he alive?"

"I'd hate to say it but the Indoraptor, Cain as you called him, didn't make it. He was pretty beat up by the time he came to aid us in defeating the Thrasher Rex."

Y/n looks down st her hands. "I didn't expect him to end up dying. What about Nick? Is he okay?"

"He is in intensive care. The doctors say he may not make it to the end of the week. Now I am assuming you want to know why you are in the hospital. This hospital where we are at now, is against InGen and what they do. We really didn't have much of a choice. You would have died either way. You've been in a slight coma for at least two days."

Y/n takes a deep breath and slowly let's it out. "At least for now, we don't have to deal with InGen anymore." There was a commotion in the hallway, making Y/n look towards the door of the room. After a few minutes Tidus, Jade, Atlas, Ultima, and Vincent come into the room. They bombard Y/n questions, wanting to know if she was alright and what happened at the compound. She tells them that she'll answer their questions in due time. But most of all, Y/n tells them that she's glad they are together as a family again.
