A Trip to the Mall (Part 2)

*Jade's POV*

Jade was busy checking out the clothing stores, trying to decide on new clothes since she was kinda tired of the clothes that manifested on her when she transformed into a human. She still liked to wear the jacket with the wings pattern on the back. She stops in front of an Abercrombie and Fitch store, looking at the mannequins on display, wearing the jeans that were available to buy in the store. She heads inside and looks around to see what kind of jeans there were. She walks over to one of the shelves and looks through the jeans, seeing which ones she'd try on to see which ones fits best. She picks out at least four pairs of jeans and walks over to the counter to see if the employee st the desk could give her the key to the changing room. "Excuse me, sir?" Jade asks.

The employee looks up from whatever he was doing and smiles at Jade. "Well aren't you cute," he said to Jade, causing her to blush. "Need anything?"

"I was wondering if I can have the key to the women's changing room so I can try on the jeans I picked out...." Jade looks at the nametag on the employee's shirt, "Zack."

"No problem. First time shopping here at Abercrombie and Fitch, miss?" Zack asks.

"Actually first time shopping at this mall really. My family and I just moved here just recently. It's kinda confusing finding my way around here but I can manage."

Zack hands Jade the key to the changing room. "If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask." He smiles at Jade again. "If you want, I get done with my shift here in twenty minutes, I can show you around the mall. I know the best stores to shop at as well the best place to eat."

Jade looks at Zack, contemplating what Zack had offered. She had the nagging feeling that he had just asked her on a date. "Let me finish here first. I'll need to consider your offer, Zack." Jade heads to the women's changing room to see if any of the jeans she had chosen, fit.

Zack watches Jade head towards the changing room. "Rather unusual girl, wouldn't you agree?" Zack glances over to one of his coworkers who was busy stocking the shelves. "Hey, Miller! Have you seen that girl before?" Zack asks. The coworker, Miller, looks back towards Zack. "I've never seen her before. Think she'd be going to the same school as us?" Miller asks. Zack shakes his head. "I'll ask if she will be," said Zack.

After a few minutes Jade finishes trying the jeans and figuring out which pairs fit, Jade heads to the register to pay for the jeans. "Is there any good places to eat here at this mall, Zack?"

Zack scans the barcodes on the jeans. "Theres a few places here, but if you want more of a variety, I do know a few good restaurants to eat at." Zack smirks.

"I'd have to decline your offer to eat at a restaurant since my family is still here at the mall. Last thing I need to have happen is my mom get really made over the fact I didn't tell her where I went," said Jade.

Zack laughs and finishes ringin up the jeans. "What's the matter? Such a mommy's girl that you are too chicken to...." Zack couldn't even finish his sentence before Jade grabs him by the front of his shirt.

"Listen here! You do not call me chicken! I've seen things that can make a sane person reconsider what they do before they act!" Jade bares her sharp teeth at Zack. "And as for that date, I'll decline since you've lost your chance because you were an ass to me." She pays for the Jean's and takes from Zack. "Think before you act, especially if it involves a girl you want to take out on a date. Later!" She leaves Abercrombie and Fitch, wishing she never met Zack. She heads down the escalator and to the food court where Vincent, Atlas, Ultima, and Tidus were already waiting for her. "Hey, Tidus. Did you let mom know that we are done at the mall for the day?"

"I did," said Tidus. He looks at Jade for a few minutes. "Alright what happened? And dont lie about what happened because we can tell. Plus it's better for us if you don't go home angry."

"Last thing we need to have happen is for you to go full Ankyloranodon on us on the car ride home," growls Vincent. "Now tell us what happened."

"One of the employees at Abercrombie and Fitch called me a chicken because I didn't want to go with him on a date with him. I declined because I didn't want you guys or mom and dad to freak out when I had left without telling you."

"One of the employees called you a chicken? Is he still there?" Ultima asks.

"He told me he got done with his shift in twenty minutes before I went to try on a few pairs of jeans," said Jade.

"Looks like I need to have a talk with him and the manager of Abercrombie and Fitch," growls Ultima. He heads towards the stairs and he could already feel his skin begin to tingle. His temper was on the rise and from what Y/n and Issac had already figured out about the hybrids, they turn back to their saurian state in cases of extreme emotions or protecting someone they cared about. Let's just hope that Atlas can hold Ultima back before it happens because at the rate Ultima's temper was going, he was going to destroy the person who called Jade a chicken.
