All that you said
all that you did
just tell me honestly
was it all a lie?
those smiles in the morning
when the sun rises up
You'd wake me you with a kiss
was it a lie?
The way you'd hold me
and steal kisses
with laughter bubbling from your lips
was it a lie?
Everyday, when I told you not to make breakfast
you'd kiss me to shut up
All those times you'd hug me tight after a nightmare
was it a lie?
Surely all things weren't lies?
surely there might be some truths?
but see, I'm to naive to realize
that there was only one truth
the only truth was
when he was in your arms
your eyes told no lies
while her lips met yours
you could've told me
rather than leading me on
to make me believe you loved me
when it a lie all along
