and loves the words
seeping from the cracks of your mind
but this sensible mind
this mind despises you
it despises you for tricking the heart
and tries to not fall for your mind
It tries to not fall for that razor-sharp smile
and the wicked glint in your eye
It tries to hate you
because this heart loves you
yet the heart
clouds the mind
and the mind protests
yet the doomed heart sees not sense
it loves without control
and it loves endlessly
and it silences the mind
and clouds my judgement
I try to hate you
because I love you
this mind tries to despise you
because this heart has fallen for you
