If we send these words
out among the stars
If these wounds break open
from old closed up scars
And the pain becomes
a slowly bleeding muse
Then maybe
there's a reason for it
and a use
Don't turn time around
just to relive your pain
If you twist it too much
you might just break today
It's a familiar feeling we find
when yesterday stings
But there's a better touch waiting
in tomorrow's wings
