Raindrops in the wind
falling deep within
within my soul
and breaking on the shore
I never saw that before
until all your storm clouds came
and drew the lightning out
along with all this pain
Thunder in the distance
rolling out of regret
regret for holding back
in the recess of my heart
until the breaking starts
and sinking in I wait
restless as I remember
it could have been too late
