Why does the wax
on the candle wane
in the ebb of life
and its receding flame?
Where does light
hide from the tired eyes
as the seasons start
to change?
Do the stars shine less
now that we
have no passion
left to show?
Will we return
to the earth as we came
without a clue
about what we know?
