Plenty to Believe

11 3 4

Mourning light stings
the eyes of the soul
on shoreline strings
frayed yet whole

We danced in the dreams
of our wind shorn cries
and there did we lean
on truth and lies

The hidden construct
of our nature broken
left us struck
with words unspoken

and yet somehow
we knew and were known
and there did we bow
to a future shown

You stepped away
and I watched you leave
Though there was nothing to say
there was plenty to believe
