Mike's pov

"You shouldn't be here,"

I keep telling him as I walked him inside the mansion. But he won't listen. He's getting more and more involved, he's almost like a main player in this nasty game.

Who am I kidding... He probably is.

"Lex Luthor!" a loud thundering voice boomed as the big boss turned to welcome his new guest. "What brings you here? Don't tell me you're short on supply already,"

"Good afternoon... Mr. Sawyer..."

I was then dismissed by the big boss by a single nod. I scuttled myself out of sight into a corner, but close enough to eavesdrop...

Lex is supposed to be focusing on his college degree... Not dealing drugs with the big boss

Kara's pov

"How'd you know about this place?" I asked Lena.

The old ferris wheel's just high enough for the both of us to see a large portion of the cityscape with the sun just about to set over the horizon, and was manageable enough for both of us to climb. The view around is really good, and the gentle breeze smells like an apple tree bloom. It's scary looking down below, but looking up at what's in front of me... it's perfect.

"This place used to be an amusement park where dad took me and Lex when we were little. The owners got bankrupt and had to leave this formerly happy place in it's miserable state," Lena said, "while Lex fancied the roller coaster back then, I on the other hand, fell in love with this wheel,"

She scooped a spoonful of blue moon ice cream from the cup that we were sharing at the top most part of this creaking old ride. Turns out Lena and I have a thing for blue moon ice cream, so we searched all over town to find it before she took me here and gave me lesson in climbing 101.

"Is it because of the view?"

"Sort of... But it's more of the ride itself. The feeling of rising from the ground, going up high, then going back full circle... What's your favorite ride?"

"Uhm... nothing in particular... but I do like bumper cars more than ferris wheel,"

"Is it because you're scared of heights?" Lena said squinting at me

"I wouldn't be here if I was," I retorted.

"Uh-huh..." She said very unconvinced and snatched the ice cream cup from me.

"Hey!... Give it back," I reached for the cup that Lena teasingly kept away from my outstretched arm.

And then the thing we're sitting on squeaked and moved slightly. I gasped at the sudden motion and my hands gripped the railings right away as my eyes went wide and darted down below. Okay... that made me nervous, not scared... there's a difference.

"So, what were we talking about now?" Lena, very much unnerved, shoved some more ice cream in her mouth, "was it something about heights?"

"I'm not scared of heights... Just, uhm... a little queasy, but not scared, okay... Now, give me some ice cream if you please,"

"Well, if you're queasy, you shouldn't eat ice cream while you're in a vertical ride," she looked at me, wickedly smiling as she licked off the thick ice cream from her spoon.

"You're torturing me..."

"Am not... just trying to keep you from barfing,"

I gave her my sad, puppy dog pleading eyes, because other than her lips, I really want that ice cream in my mouth.

"Oh well... fine, here you go,"

Well, that was easy. My puppy dog eyes never fails, as she handed over the ice cream cup. But not before scooping a large portion in her spoon to stuff in her cheeky face.

"So... how do we get down from here now?" I asked as I finish off what's left in the cup.

Lena burst out in laughter at my question. There may be a little, just a little truth in what she was saying about me being scared of heights, but with her around, I just feel I can take on whatever, whenever...

He wasn't using. He was selling.

Lex supplies a variety of drugs, courtesy of the big boss, to college boys and coeds in his university for extra cash. But I have yet to discover the worst part.

"I need access to one of your dad's car showrooms..." I heard the big boss say, "I have a number of clients, who are very interested in a particular vehicle and I've been told there will be at least twelve brand new Maseratis coming in today,"

"I don't know about the Maserati, but I can do something about the access... Tell me, which car showroom in the city that you want to get an access to?" Lex said full of confidence.

This can't be good. This can't be right...
