Chapter 44 : Threat and Surprise

Three months had passed since Harry took the company's President position from his father. Who knew Des finally had given his full trust on his only son's ability. Styles Corporations has gotten bigger in construction's sector. Under Harry's new lead, the company has landed in many high-profile projects like hotels, condominiums and resorts constructions whether on their own by collaborations.

"Maybe all of these are Louis' luck?" Harry thought. He smiled staring at two of their lovely photos in frames during their honeymoon on his desk. One was from their wedding when they walked down the aisle after the ceremony and another one was from their honeymoon, Louis was sitting on his lap smiling happily to the camera while Harry planting a kiss on his cheek. He couldn't wait to go home. He already missed him!

Harry leaned his aching head back on the big chair that used being his father's throne. The whole room's interior has changed into his taste. A few of his father's belonging was staying but the arrangement has changed. Harry did it on purpose because he wanted his father's strong enthusiasm accompanied him in facing the challenging business world.

Since Des has retired, well he's not fully retired because he was still the advisor, his health has gotten better. No more aching back and head. Anne also happy because his husband was always by his side. As soon as Harry took over the position, they had went to Hawaii, honeymoon they said.

Harry's closed eyes has opened widely when the door has opened forcefully. Xander was standing in front of the opened door. Unexpected! His secretary, Lilly rushed inside a moment later breathing heavily. She gave him a sorry looks.

"I'm so sorry Sir. I've tried to stop him but..." She rushed.

"It's okay Lilly, you may continue your work," Harry assured him.

Harry threw a cold glare towards Xander who was grinning smugly listening to Harry's instruction.

Since their last meeting in Rendezvous, he had not saw him at all. "What else does he want?" A lot of questions was swimming in Harry's mind.

Lilly nodded his head warily. "Yes, Sir."

She left the room but not before closing the door tightly. She knew the staff would started gossiping about their big boss' ex-boyfriend returns. Busybody! She shook his head before he went back to his seat outside Harry's humongous room.

Back in Harry's room, he straightened his posture while throwing a nonchalant look at Xander in front of his desk. Hmm... he feels that something was different with that man. But what?

"Hmm... your new room is huge. So nice!" Xander exclaimed. His brown eyes were wild roaming around the room's interior decor. "Well... you're the big boss now."

There was an ivory set of couch on one side of the room. The wall was decorated with a couple of abstract's drawing that he sure were expensive. In conclusion, the room screamed modern and sophisticated. He was amazed!

Xander arranged his steps one by one, approaching Harry's desk. "Don't you want to ask me to sit?" he asked shamelessly.

"Please... be my guest." Harry said mockingly.

"Please tell your reason coming here quickly, don't waste my time with small matters. I have many other important things to worry of." Harry exclaimed. He was really tired, tired of the never-ending works. His dream to take a 5 minutes nap after he chaired the boards meeting has gone.

"Small matters?" Xander bulged his eyes staring at Harry who seemed bored with his attendance. "No! No! No Harry!" he swayed his index finger dramatically in front of his face. "I know that you're a busy businessman. This is not a small matter I want to talk about."
