Ticino

Harry threw his gaze far away to the middle of the lake. The scenery was occupied by orange, brown and white colour. Snow would occasionally fell in Ticino. Lake Maggiore was still visited by the locals and tourists even though the temperature was really cold. He remembered of Louis who got cold easily and he remembered about Louis' birthday on Christmas Eve and their first Christmas together. Would he had a chance to celebrate those special occasions with them. He hoped so.

Without Harry noticed, three weeks had passed since he came to Switzerland. Maggia Valley meant a lot to him. It was where Louis and him had created many beautiful memories. He felt calm being there.

Times flew too fast. Harry still remembered the moment he left their home. He kissed on Louis’ forehead gently didn’t want to wake him up. He carried his bag before he took a Uber to the airport. On the same morning, he took the first flight to Zürich. He felt sad to leave Louis and their baby, families and London. But he felt like an outsider, no one would worry about him.

He really was missing Louis’ sweet smile and happy laughter. That was why he didn’t forget to call on his husband everyday. Even if the latter would ignore and refused to talk to him.

Harry was worried of Louis' condition. Everyday, he would pray for Louis and their baby's wellbeing. He was shocked when he read about Xander's death online but there's nothing could be done anymore. He wanted for Xander to explain everything and apologise properly to them but he was gone. He didn't feel anything anymore towards Xander but in his opinion  Xander's way of death was horrific and what's more cruel was the baby that he didn't know who the father was in his stomach was also killed. His prayer went to the innocent baby. He just hoped that the killer was sentenced to death.

He didn't want anything bad happened to his family. He couldn't imagine what'd happened to him if anything bad happened to Louis and their baby. Harry was also feeling regretful because he couldn't stay by Louis' side to protect two of the most precious human in his life. But it was Louis' request! He was just granting his request. Maybe Louis was right that space could fix their problems better. Maybe! He was not sure anymore.

Sometimes, random assumptions would float in Harry’s mind. Maybe Louis had grew bored with him. Bored of his consistent phone calls on every night. Maybe Louis had thrown him far away from his life. Maybe! Those thoughts had made Harry didn’t even care about his appearance anymore. Wild beard was adorning his once lightly stubbled face. He didn’t even cut his hair, letting those curls grew wild until his shoulders.

Harry spent his times on replying work emails or emailing important files to Lilly, Niall and Kent. When he was done with his works, he would spend his free times near Lake Maggiore. Some locals were already recognising him. They would greet him when he was alone at the field near the lake. His drawing hobby had resurfaced. He felt calm when he drew as if all of his problems were gone.

“Good evening gentleman.” A middle-aged woman greeted him. There was a fluffy calico cat in his cradle.

"Good evening." Harry smiled at the woman he had known 2 weeks ago. Every evening she would take a stroll with his cat near the lake.

“Oh, that boy again!” The older woman stared at the half-coloured drawing in front of Harry. She recognised the azure blue colour of the boys’ eyes. Must be the same person from before. “Seems that you really love him.”

Harry laughed lightly hearing the woman’s comment. “Yes, of course. He is my husband.”

The woman nodded his head again. They had a nice chat for about 15 minutes before she excused herself. That woman seemed entertained from his chat with Harry. Harry waved her goodbye before he drowned in his drawing world again.
