Clarke

I chased after Lexa, who was running through the market place - the thing enabling me to pinpoint her location being her laugh for the most part.  "You are behaving very childish!" I called.

"I don't care!  I'm allowed to let loose once in a while!" Lexa called back.

Shaking my head fondly I continued to chase her until I eventually managed to cut her off, "Gotcha!" I cried, grabbing her before she could run off again.

She huffed and gave me a pout, "Clarke!" She whined.

I giggled, "Come on Lex.  It's just my mother and Marcus.  You have to deal with all thirteen leaders and hundreds of people tomorrow at the tournament." I said, grinning at her.

She laughed, "And your mother is scarier than all of them combined." She stated like a fact.

I had to release her as I doubled over laughing.  I had to kind of agree but to hear it from her in that way it was somehow very funny.  After who knows how long I recovered, "I will be there and so will Marcus, she can't do much with both of us there." I said.

"Fiiiiine." Lexa groaned.

I giggled again and took her hand, leading her towards the tower.  When we finally got there Luna was just coming out of the room my mother and Marcus were sharing, "Okay, never want to go through that again.  I'm gonna go find Raven." She said, then dashed off, "Good luck!" She called over her shoulder.

Lexa and I groaned before opening the door, walking in, closing it, and then going to sit across from my mother and Marcus.

"So how'd it go with Luna?" I asked casually.

"I like her, she seems reliable enough.  She didn't answer a couple of my questions which I don't like but she seems like she's good for Raven." My mother responded.

"You are aware she's Lexa's big sister, right?" I asked.

"Yes.  And I know which one I prefer." My mother stated.

"Mom!" I exclaimed.

"Sorry Clarke, but some of us can't just forgive and forget."

"Or forgive." I muttered - knowing full well that I (and many other Skaikru members) would never forget what Lexa did but we'd forgiven her.

"So you wanted to talk to me Abby, Marcus?" Lexa probed, the only one able to hear what I said.

"Yes.  We're concerned about what happens in the tournament.  We heard about your duel with King Roan and were wondering if this ended in death as well." Marcus said, looking worried.

Lexa nodded, "An understandable concern.  This is not like my duel with Roan.  There is no death in the tournament, especially on purpose.  The last time someone died in a tournament was a few Commanders ago.  We keep many healers near the champions so that they can have medical attention and the champions know that they are not out for the kill and are briefed on the main areas to avoid, plus the warrior training they are given allows them to avoid the most dangerous places.  If you are worried about Octavia being unaware of this I can assure you I will explain this to her before she fights and I am sure Indra will do the same." Lexa said.

Marcus nodded, "Thank you Commander." He said.

Lexa smiled slightly and nodded, "It is fine Marcus, I do not mind.  This is Skaikru's first tournament and I am not surprised there are questions." She said.

I sat anxiously.  Lexa had more or less told me that I would be sitting with her and the Clan leaders up on the stage to over look and watch the tournament.  Lexa smiled as she stepped forward, the crowd silencing.
