I smiled softly as Lexa came in the room.  I had been drawing while she had been training with the Natblidas (Nightbloods).

Lexa sat down beside me carefully and I could feel her peering over my shoulder to watch, my smile growing.

"What are you drawing?" She asked softly, trying not to disturb me.

"I want to paint something for Raven and Luna and then something for O and Lincoln so I've been drafting ideas." I answered.

Lexa smiled that gorgeous gentle smile and I could practically see her swoon, giggling.  "What are your ideas?" She asked curiously.

I shrugged, "For O and Lincoln I have no idea what to draw.  I want it to be symbolic of them but I don't know and for Rave and Luna I'm not really sure.  I've been drafting some ideas, the ocean with ravens, the two of them, and a few others but it doesn't seem to fit like I want it to." I said, gesturing my arm for emphasis.

Lexa chuckled, a thoughtful look on her face.  "Luna is named after the moon and when we were young she had a necklace with a crescent moon." She said, eyes sparking with an idea.

"What's your idea?" I asked eagerly.

"Raven is named after a bird and Luna is named after the moon.  What if you combined those?" Lexa said.

I grinned, turning my whole body so that I could kiss her lips quickly.

"You're a genius." I said quickly, dashing over and pulling out my painting supplies before setting up the easel.

With Lexa's advice, I had a mental picture painted of what I wanted it to look like now.

I could feel Lexa watching me as I worked eagerly.

My plan was a night sky, a few stars here and there obviously, with a crescent moon in the middle and a raven flying across it.

When I thought about it, it might be even more symbolic than I thought.  I was using a very dark, almost black, grey for the night sky.  They had both been through so much, through the darkness, yet they'd found sanction in one another.

I wasn't sure how long I was painting.  I could hear Lexa quietly moving around the room, doing small things to keep busy, but paid no mind as I focused intently on getting even the smallest details of this correct.

As I began painting the moon I made slightly darker spots like the actual moon.  However when I got near where the raven was going to be painted I stopped the shading, brightening the color of the moon slightly as if extra light was in the area.

When I had reached the raven I was careful in the details, making it appear to have feathers rather than just the bird's shape.

Finally I finished off the painting, quickly adding in a few more stars before I stepped back, smiling at the artwork that was Lexa's idea and my painting skill.

"Em ste meizen (It is beautiful)." Lexa said softly, startling me with how close she was.

She chuckled and I smiled, "I didn't know you were that close." I said.

Lexa nodded, looking at the painting again, "They will love it." She said with complete certainty and I grinned.

"I have to let it dry before I give it to them." I said softly.

She nods, "Sha (Yes).  You will most likely have to give it to them tomorrow morning, it is getting late." She said.

Now that she mentioned it, it is getting late - I mean it's almost dinner time.

"I still need to figure out what to paint for Lincoln and Octavia." I said thoughtfully.

She nodded, thinking.  "What if, I know this sounds crazy, you don't do a full painting."

I tilted my head, nodding for her to continue.

"They are symbols of each other, so what if you just paint them and then write something in between." She said, a thoughtful look on her face.

"Lexa." I said and she suddenly looked worried.  "That is an amazing idea."

She grinned, "Really?"

"Yes!  If I ever need help knowing what to paint or how to do it you are hereby and henceforth my number one person." I said, grinning at her.

She beamed happily and I couldn't help but grin back.

Turning I carefully moved the first painting, setting it aside to dry, before beginning to paint.

Smirking slightly, I carefully did the painstaking work of doing Octavia in armor and with braided hair.  Painstaking because of all the little details in her armor and in Trikru armor in general, and then her complex braiding pattern.

Deciding to get bonus points, I also put her in face paint.

By the time I was finished with just her and her armor I'm sure it's been an hour or more.  Switching to the other side, I painted Lincoln who, due to the fact that he normally wore Trikru clothes and not armor, was much easier.  I made sure to get the tattoos that were visible on his arms correct, drawing them from memory (which is easier than it sounds as much as I'm around him).

I smiled when I'd finished, thinking of what I should put in between them as the writing.

A thought came to mind and after turning it over in my head, I nodded to myself and began to paint, in semi fancy lettering, the words.

"Over and over.  Over and over.  I'd give all of myself, just to see you smile.  Just to hear your laugh.  Because I love you.  So over and over, I give all of me."

I did it down and in between them, smiling at how it looked.

"Amazing." Lexa said softly from where she'd been standing behind me most of the time.

"Thanks." I said, smiling at her.

"I think they will love it." Lexa said, pecking my lips.

I grinned, "That's good." I hummed, "Now let's get to dinner."

She chuckled and nodded, "Alright.  Come on hodnes (love)." She said, amusement coloring her tone.

Smiling, I took her hand in mine as we walked.
