A few hours earlier...

"H-hello?" Venus voice croaked as she called out. She wasn't certain if it was because she's scared, cold or both.

"This cave gives me the creeps." As odd as it was, her mumblings gave her a feeling of comfort. The echoes that resounded through the walls gave her a sense of companionship.

Venus was walking for more than an hour and yet the tunnel-like cave seemed to be endless still. And what astonished her more upon entering earlier was that the cave's not dark at all. Shimmering lights flickered all over the walls, floors and ceilings. It was quite the sight, if not for the impending task ahead, she might have enjoyed the place.

Her doubts were multiplying more and more in each step she took forwards, wondering and imagining all worst case scenarios of what kind of trial waiting for her ahead. She tried her telescopic sight to see further but all she saw was an endless cave trail.

Venus sighed and hasten her pace, "nobody told me that this is miles of marathon trial package." She kept on complaining to nobody in particular. Hiking was never her thing.

An hour more has passed when she reached an opening. It almost looked like Scalia's throne room but with a lot more higher walls and a small opening on the ceiling. She could see the stars, the moon illuminated the whole place making it look ethereal. Now she knew what those shimmering lights inside the cave were. As she looked around, different kinds and colors of crystal rock formations reflected the moon's light.

"The seeker has finally arrived." A woman's voice said out of nowhere, startling her. She's pretty sure that it's not Scalia's.

"Show yourself," Vee looked around but found no one in sight.

"I'm not the one you need to find."

"Who are you? Where are my friends?" She asked, looking around as she walked towards the center.

"Who am I is not important. You need to answer my questions so you could find what you seek."

"Enough of your mysterious hoodoo. Shoot the questions." Venus irritatingly answered. She was expecting a fight or something really hard. And here she was, answering questions while her friends outside were fighting monsters.

"Impatient, are we?" The voice was taunting, teasing.

"Is that the first question?" She answered, challenging her.

The voice laughed. It reverberated through the walls. The sound it created was ominous and eerie.

Venus chose to ignore it. She stood in a defensive stance, ready to pounce anytime.

"I am your stalker, sometimes you see, sometimes you don't. Most times behind you but sometimes in front. Who am I?"

"Great! So this is a riddle contest. Very original." Venus threw her hands in the air in exasperation.
