Chapter 26

(Y/N) followed Jack through twists and turns around the building, completely trusting him. The both of them activated the bombs and set the others free. They were led at the hangar where there was an aircraft from The Right Arm waiting for the kids.

"Come on," Jack pulled her hand towards the aircraft.

"No!" She pulled her hand away from him. "I'm not going with them! I belong with Newt! I need to give him the Cure!"

Both she and Jack had to shout since the sound of the aircraft was loud.

"How do you plan to do that?" He asked her.

"I just need to get the right equipments. Where's Jorge's Berg?" She asked him.

Jack pointed to a spot not far and saw the Berg with Jorge inside. (Y/N) nodded and faced Jack.

"I'm going back inside!"

"Do you have a death wish?" He exclaimed.

"I need to get the right equipment!" She told him. "Don't try to stop me."

"I won't," Jack's brown eyes bore into (Y/N)'s. He saw the determination in them and admired that about her. "I'll come with you. You'll need some backup."

(Y/N) grinned. "Good that." Jack nodded.

Both (Y/N) and Jack went back inside WICEKD Headquarters, carefully avoiding the guards that came their way. It wasn't long until they reached the room that held the equipment that (Y/N) needed. She took everything that she needed while Jack was the one guarding.

"Now what?" Jack asked when (Y/N) was almost done.

"We should go to Jorge's Berg. That's where the others are headed anyway."

Jack nodded and the both of them were on their way to the Berg. Because of the bombs that the both of them activated, most of the guards were at that part of the building while Jack and (Y/N) were on the other side. So (Y/N) and Jack thought that going to the Berg would be easy just like when they were on their way here. But they were wrong. When they were about to leave the room, it was completely surrounded with guards pointing their Launchers at them.

"Oh shuck," (Y/N) said.

(Y/N) was gripping her Launcher tight with the equipment in a backpack. Jack was also gripping his Launcher, wondering which one he'll shoot first. They're clearly outnumbered.

"What are we gonna do?" (Y/N) whispered to Jack.

"Beats me," he replied.

"Very encouraging," she said sarcastically.

"Lay down your weapons and put your hands behind your back," one of them said to the both of them.

Neither (Y/N) or Jack did as the guard said. They were still forming a plan.

(Y/N) wouldn't want to get captured and not get Newt the Cure. She's gone this far to safe and protect him. She won't give up now. (Y/N) took a deep breath and put down her Launcher and the backpack filled with equipments.

"What are you doing?" Jack hissed.

"Trust me," she said to him. "Just keep the equipment safe."
