As you walked through the city, you smiled to yourself. It was a beautiful day and unlike yesterday, there were no quarrels. Yesterday, you had seen a man speaking his opinion but a group of friends encouraged one of them to argue. However, today was different.
"Chaos and bloodshed already haunt our solution, so don't let them lead you astray!" called out a man. It was the same one from yesterday... Samuel Seabury, you think. It sounded right.

When he had finished, you decided to talk to him and make sure everything was fine after what you had witnessed the day previous. He was probably fine and he would probably be dismissive of you but it would only be trying to be nice.
"Excuse me, are you alright?" You asked. Samuel jumped but turned to face you. "I saw you yesterday, those men were quite rude. Everyone has opinions."
"I'm quite alright, thank you, Miss. I'm Samuel Seabury," he introduced even if he knew you probably knew who we was.
"(Y/n) (L/n)," you replied.

"Are you a loyalist? Not many people around here are apparently," wondered Samuel.
"I'm kind of in the middle. I prefer to wait and see what happens. If America becomes independent so be it, if we stay under the rule of King George, so be it. I'm sure whatever happens will be for the best," you told him. You were completely honest.
"That's a very unique view," he said quietly. "Would you mind if I walked with you, Miss?"
"Not at all." You smiled.

The man was undeniably attractive and, with a war sure to start, it was no longer uncommon for lovers to be married within months of meeting. Not that you wanted to marry anyone, it was just a thought.

"You can call me (Y/n)," you said to break the silence.
"Alright then, (Y/n)," Samuel timidly said. He seemed a happy person even if he was surrounded by an ever-growing number of people who supported the revolution.
"Would you like to come to dinner sometime? Maybe later?"
"Are you sure?" You nodded. "I would very much like to attend dinner with you then, thank you for the offer." You gave him your address and he thanked you again with the addition of 'please, call me Samuel.'

"Goodbye Samuel," you said sadly but you would see him later.
"Goodbye (Y/n). I'll try to be on time," he said. You smiled at him and kissed his cheek. Were you too forward? His face turned red. "Will I get one of those later?"
"Maybe after desert, it depends," you joked. Both of you smiled widely at each other before parting. He was quite polite, you thought. I think I might be beginning to like him a bit more.
